💻 Is Your Laptop Sounding Like a Jet Engine? ✈️

We’ve all been there: you open a couple of browser tabs, and suddenly your laptop sounds like it’s about to take off for holiday.

If your laptop is running hot, slowing down, or making a proper racket, it usually just needs a bit of TLC—specifically, a professional clean and a fresh dose of thermal paste. Over time, dust bunnies and fluff build up inside the vents, trapping heat and making your processor work way harder than it needs to.

At iPhonefixed, we don't just fix phones! We offer a thorough Laptop Servicing & Dust Cleaning service right here in Cardiff.

What's included in our service?

Deep internal clean: Removing all dust and debris from fans and heatsinks.

Thermal paste replacement: Applying fresh paste to keep your processor cool and quiet.

Performance check: Ensuring your fans are spinning properly and temperatures are back to normal.

Extend the life of your machine and save yourself the cost of a brand-new laptop. Drop into our Cardiff shop or get in touch today to book your service!

That's why choosing a reliable and professional repair shop matters!

Why spend money on a screen replacement only to lose touch or display a few weeks later?

Because some untrained cowboys replaced the screen without removing—or even realizing they needed to remove—the plastic film on the back. It causes the screen to overheat quickly and fries the touch IC.

A 2-second job can save you over a hundred quid in extra costs.

💡 One simple habit that could save you a £200 repair bill

If your phone or tablet gets wet, don’t plug it in straight away — even if it still seems to be working.

Moisture inside the charging port or device can cause a short circuit when power is connected. What starts as a small amount of water can sometimes turn into damage to the charging port, screen or even the main board.

A safer approach:

✅ Switch the device off if possible
✅ Remove the case
✅ Leave it somewhere dry and well ventilated
✅ Avoid charging it until you’re confident the port is completely dry
❌ Don’t use a hairdryer on high heat
❌ Don’t put it in rice

We regularly see phones where the original problem would have been relatively minor, but charging the device while moisture was still inside turned it into a much more expensive repair.

A few hours of patience can sometimes save you £100–£200+.
