/// Until recently I didn’t even know that such services exist, but apparently there are brave people on fast motorcycles that would deliver blood in case of emergency. One such person happens to live and operate out of Over and needed his laptop repaired. I tried to offer equally quick service.

/// Due to an intimate dance with the hottest strain of a virus that is going around, I feel compelled to cancel home visits for few days.

I’ve met Diana we months back. Her laptop needed some attention and that’s how our paths crossed ways. I immediately got taken aback how polite and well spoken she was and that left an impression on me , because I was raised in a culture with where this qualities are important. Very important. So when she asked me how much would it cost to sort some of her old computers to send to family back home, told her I will charge just for the parts. A little white lie. I wasn’t planning to charge her anything, but I suspected she will not allow me to take the laptops otherwise.
A while later I delivered the laptops back and hopefully by now they have arrived in Kenya having another lease of life being used by people that might not be able to afford such equipment.

‘Not starting, not charging’ - that is how my client described her Dell laptop. After testing the power suppy and confirming it was working properly I turned my attention to the socket inside the laptop. The socket was quite wobbly and after disassembling the cover and extracting the socket out it was clear the this little part was the culprit causing all this headaches. Now the laptop is back in Willingham with his owner.
