So, with the ever-changing world we live in, and the reality of being a freelance graphic designer these days, I’ve decided to add another feather to my bow.

I’m now designing surface patterns for the world of interiors, apparel and, well… pretty much any surface you can think of! O've been doing this for a while now and I’m also bringing pattern into the corporate world, helping brands extend their visual identity in new and creative ways, beyond the usual logo and colour palette.

Painting and drawing have been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. I used to sit and paint the flowers in my garden as a child, so in many ways this feels like returning to something I’ve always loved, just with 25+ years of design experience behind me now.

So, alongside looking after my lovely graphic design clients, I’ve started a new little venture, Kate Jane.

It’s a growing sideline for now, but one that brings a different kind of creativity back into my world, and I absolutely love it.

I’m a graphic designer with 25+ years’ experience, with a particular love for branding and logo design — helping start-ups find their identity and established businesses breathe new life into theirs.

I also work across print, packaging, exhibitions and digital, alongside my work as an illustrator, artist and surface pattern designer.

FINALLY got to try Sebshimi | Katsu Later 🍣🍛 for myself 🙌

And OH MY… it is seriously good. 🤤

And I’m not just saying that because I designed the logo. 😂

My only mistake? Not ordering the LARGE. Rookie error.

It's not often that we get to hold our work in our hands these days, so it was such a lovely moment to receive this beautiful printed anthology in the post.

This was a really special project for my wonderful client, Grace Schools, who always bring me their most creative ideas.

This year's challenge invited children from all 39 of their schools to answer one question: Who is Ely Cathedral's Top Trump?

I was sent hundreds of amazing illustrations and the children's own explanations of why their chosen character deserved the title. My job was to transform all of their creativity into a medieval-inspired anthology, with every entry designed as a real Top Trump card.

It was one of those projects that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. Seeing it come back from the printers looking this good makes all the hours worth it.

Making brands retail-ready.

One of my recent projects — WILD Pet Food.
The goal was to elevate the brand so it could confidently sit on the shelf, while keeping that country farm shop feel at its core.

We balanced something organic and natural with a more considered, knowledgeable finish — creating a system that feels both distinctive and scalable.
