WE ARE SEEKING A CODER TO JOIN OUR TEAM

I am trying a post on here rather than an advertisement on a recruitment site because I want an individual to find us rather than an agency.

We are looking for somebody with that hunger for getting under the hood of digital systems. This might take the form of older DOTNET or PHP systems and it might be as up to date as Blazor and React. We may even get you to revamp our website because, hey, we still have the old GoPro Omni camera and HTC Vive mark 1 headsets on there. We need to shout about all we have done over the last few years.

We have a lot of diverse projects and customers so you will never be stuck and bored with one job. We are currently a talented team of 7 who look out for each other and want to make sure we all get rewarded both with finance and knowledge and we are growing. Over the years, customers have loved us, so we have interesting projects to work on.

We are looking to start someone on around the £26,000 mark for full-time with a view to ramping up the right person. You must be able to come into the office in Cambridge.

In return we are offering a friendly and relaxed working atmosphere. We have lots of cool toys to play with and encourage you to further your interests in anything digital, coding, or the arts.

Job Opportunity for a Software Developer in Cambridge

We are an ambitious and expanding Cambridge based digital agency, utilising a wide range of technologies to help our customers realise their full potential.
We are looking to expand our team with the appointment of a new junior developer.

Your main responsibilities will initially include:
• You will help support existing WordPress and bespoke .NET solutions.
• Liaising with customers to update them on the progress and completion of support requests.
• Working with our team on new development (a fantastic knowledge transfer opportunity).

Money
Full time role (37.5 hours per week) 09:00 until 17:30 every weekday with an hour for lunch.

Junior Software Developer
Minimum of 2 years commercial experience.
£25,000 to £30,000

Mid-Level Software Developer
3 to 5 years commercial experience
£30,000 to £40,000

Must Have Skills
• C #
• WordPress
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• PHP
• Ability to prioritise, plan and schedule.

Desirable Skills
• SQL Server & T-SQL
• MySQL
• ASP.NET Core
• Azure
• Git

Other notes
• Initially office based with the option of transitioning to hybrid.
• Fantastic opportunity to work with a small highly skilled team.
• You will work on a diverse range of projects and technologies.
• Must have good interpersonal skills. Will be required to interact with clients.
• Learning new skills is encouraged and supported.

It's working from home with a difference but creativity remains our business and technology remains our canvas.

Hi all,
I have a favour to ask. We have been involved in a new search directory and promotional platform for everything and everyone in the creative industry (which I include us all as a definite group of creatives :) ). The site https://www.createbritain.com/ is designed in favour of independents, SME’s and organisations with specialist skills, allowing you to show off what you do in granular detail and visually showcase your work.
Focusing on a Games Industry Trade Mission Q1 2020, we are talking with the DiT about how best to open up and ease navigation of this fast evolving and highly complex industry and how to maximise opportunities for everyone, at every level - 24/7!

Currently in the final stages of soft-launch, CreateBritain is keen to capture feedback at grass-root level, to ensure they are indexing the games development industry as accurately as possible and building a resource tool to benefit the industry as a whole.
