A #1 product deserves creative that stops the scroll.

For Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment, we built offer banners for social and online, plus in-store A6 materials, around the "wake-up call" idea, product cracking through real avocado halves, playful headlines, and clear proof points pulled straight from customer results. Consistent across every format, from a TikTok banner to something a customer picks up in-store.

Bold, clear, and backed by real results.

Why we care so much about the brief.

A good outcome can come from a rushed brief. It happens. But it rarely happens twice, and when it does, nobody can explain why it worked, which makes it impossible to repeat on purpose.

We care about the brief as much as the finished work because that's where the real understanding gets built: what a business actually needs, who they're trying to reach, what's been tried before and why it didn't stick. Skip that stage, or rush it, and you might still land on something that looks right. What you won't have is the reasoning behind it, and that's exactly what's needed the next time a decision has to be made.

The outcome is what a client sees. The brief is what makes sure it's the right outcome, not just a good-looking one.

The charity previously known as Women's Aid came to us to mark 50 years in Bury St Edmunds with a full rebrand, and it needed to go far deeper than a new logo. The old identity hadn't kept pace with who they actually serve now: men, young adults, a far broader community than the original branding ever spoke to. Changing the name to Restore came from that same place, a word that reflects what they actually do rather than a legacy that no longer fit.

We took the identity into turquoise and orange, softened the type, and went lowercase throughout so it felt approachable rather than clinical. There's a small detail we're particularly proud of too: two hands built into the "o" of Restore, a quiet visual nod to the outreach at the heart of what they do. All of it sits inside a full brand toolkit now, so every piece of communication they put out carries the same care.

Hearing Katherine talk about what that process felt like from their side- being properly listened to and seeing their values reflected back at them rather than being handed a template- is exactly why we do this work.

If your brand's stopped reflecting who you actually are, get in touch.

Most inboxes are full of things people scroll past. A good email campaign earns its place; the subject line gets it opened, the design gets it read, and the message gets it acted on.

Our email campaign service covers strategy, design, copy and build, all handled in-house, from email design and A/B testing through to seasonal campaigns and fully responsive builds for mobile and desktop. We've built these for names like Lancôme, Urban Decay and Kiehl's, but this service isn't reserved for big beauty brands. Whatever the sector, hospitality, local business, or something else entirely, the approach is the same: built around your audience, not a generic template.

If it lands in an inbox and needs to actually get opened, we can help.

Two brands, one retail moment, one cohesive campaign.

For Lancôme and Cacharel's mist collection, we built the social creative for Boots: colourful, product-forward imagery designed to sell a range rather than a single scent, with real fruit and florals styled around each bottle so every shade tells its own story while still feeling like one collection.

Bright, bold, and built to convert on scroll.

This is exactly what it looks like: fourteen directions for a client's new logo, "Tiger Services," from a single round of exploration.

Getting to one final logo means testing far more than the client ever chooses. Colour variations, different marks, different type treatments, most get ruled out along the way, tried, compared and set aside because something else held up better against the brief. What made the final cut is the one that stood strongest against all of this.

What looks like one clean concept is usually the result of multiple others that weren't quite right.

In 2001, Royal Mail did something almost no brand had done before: it walked away from a name with 500 years of history behind it.

The company rebranded its parent group as "Consignia," a name meant to signal a modern, diversified business moving beyond just letters and parcels. It cost an estimated £2 million to develop, and the reaction was immediate confusion. Customers didn't know if they were dealing with a courier, a logistics firm, or their local postman. The name had no connection to what the public actually associated with the brand, and staff reportedly disliked it just as much as customers did.

By 2002, less than a year and a half after launch, it was gone. Royal Mail reverted to the name it had carried for centuries, and Consignia became a textbook example of a rebrand solving a problem nobody actually had.

It's a reminder that heritage isn't dead weight to be rebranded away from; sometimes it's the single biggest asset a brand has.

What do you think? Was there ever a version of "Consignia" that could have worked, or was it doomed the moment it left the boardroom?

This is Adam, Whitewater's Head of Beauty. He oversees our beauty and cosmetics projects, bringing a sharp eye for elegance and a real appreciation for luxury aesthetics to every design, blending artistry with strategy to create packaging, branding and campaign visuals that genuinely connect with an audience.

Away from the studio, Adam's a big film lover, and it shows. Cinematography, storytelling, and composition all feed into how he approaches a project, giving his work a depth most design doesn't have.

Timing matters as much as the design itself.

For Lancôme's Lash Idôle Curl Goddess campaign, we built out banners and video assets for LookFantastic to coincide with Olivia Rodrigo's tour, working in After Effects to bring the static creative to life across both formats. The goal was simple: give the campaign real cultural relevance right when audiences were already paying attention to Olivia, not weeks before or after.

Right creative, right moment, right platform.

25 years in, a few things we've learned along the way:

The best briefs aren't the most detailed ones; they're the most honest ones. A client telling us what's not working, or what's kept them up at night about their brand, gets us to a better result faster than a spec sheet ever does.

Consistency beats a single brilliant idea. A campaign that looks the same whether it's a banner, a business card, or a window display builds more trust with an audience than one perfect hero image ever will, because people notice repetition even when they can't say why.

White space isn't wasted space; it's what makes people actually notice what you've put on the page. Cramming more in almost always means less gets seen.

And the work that lasts is the work built for the people who'll actually see it, not just the one person signing it off.

What's something in your industry that took years, not months, to actually learn?
