You'll see page after page of his $1.3B sale, and buried up to 8 pages back; you'll find one article

The algorithm selects the most appropriate and popular pages first. As the topic of Mr Reynolds and T Mobile are trending, any old posts are buried.

This is a good example of why maximum effort in content creation is advised.

Anyone with kids leaving school that may want to get into IT, read on.

We recently gave a talk on tech challenges facing businesses today and how senior managers don't understand how to protect their businesses.

We at LG have often demonstrated my zeitgeist bell curve theory to highlight what we should be looking at to prepare in advance for changes or skill shortages.

I won't go into AI or Web 3.0 here, but companies struggle to find service-now administrators.

Why?

The phenomenal growth of an amazing product has caused a bit of a supply and demand defecit.

Service now offers some brilliant free courses that can be done at home and can help any wannabe apprentice or those wanting to start off in a tech role. Arriving in the scene in a new role with some understanding can really help.

No code programming, code development or even introductory administration courses are available.

Companies always look for experience, so this isn't a substitute for that, but it offers a peak behind the curtain for those wanting a leg up and may raise an eyebrow at any potential interviews.

Let's talk about “no-click searches”.

There are more “no-click searches” than ever before (see image)

no-click searches are largely due to SERP features (especially Featured Snippets).

For example, let’s say you search for “when did Google start” (see image)

Why would you click on any other links in the search results when you get your answer right there on the first page?

That’s why you want to target keywords that don’t have a ton of SERP features. That way, your result will stand out and hopefully get clicked on.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays a big part in what is is shown when a user searches. So it's not always beneficial to have all the bells and whistles if you want to get those clicks.

Bruce Lee said it years ago, but we prefer this saying, which we know has come from real-world experience.

Spend 10% of your time looking at what’s coming. What we do today won’t be the same as tomorrow.

Will blockchain and NFTs change how we manage data? Will Web3.0 change our infrastructure? Will a centralised cryptocurrency change business? What hidden features there be in IOS17?

Please don’t get comfortable with what you do today; learn to ride the wave of change instead of drowning in it.

Lead the way and open doors, ask if things can be more efficient and find alternatives.
