A strong password is your first line of defence against cyber threats. Using unique, complex passwords makes it much harder for attackers to gain access to your accounts and sensitive information. We highly recommend using three random words.

We spent yesterday at the careers expo at Turf Moor, talking to local students about careers in cyber security and technology.

To make things a little more interesting, we challenged them to crack codes, work out passwords and tackle a few cyber-inspired puzzles. The competitive streak definitely came out in some of them, and we saw some great young talent shining through.

It's easy to think of cyber security as something that happens behind a screen, but there's so much problem-solving, creativity and teamwork involved. Helping young people discover that, and hopefully spark an interest in the industry, is something we're always happy to support.

Kudos to Burnley Council, Burnley Bondholders and the local schools, for continuing to bring this annual event to life. We're proud to be a part of it.

Yesterday we co-hosted Construction vs AI with Burnley College, the first in a series of collaborative technology events we'll be delivering together to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping different industries.

Rather than asking whether AI will replace people, the conversation focused on a more practical question: how do we get the best from both?

Mark Edwards showcased how AI is already helping businesses save time, reduce admin and improve efficiency, while Hannah Bolton from DK Architects made a compelling case for why technology can never replace human creativity, empathy, experience and understanding.

The discussion continued with a panel featuring Hannah, Reid Lewis (Hawthorn Estates Design), William Tobin (Rider Levett Bucknall) and Chris Wright (Speedy Hire), who shared honest views on where AI is already adding value in construction and where people remain absolutely essential.

The biggest takeaway from the afternoon? AI isn't replacing construction professionals. It's giving them better tools to spend less time on routine tasks and more time delivering the projects, places and designs that really make a difference.

The future isn't Construction vs AI... it's Construction + AI.
