We’ve got some big news at Recycle IT.

We’re proud to say we’ve been named a finalist in the Environmental, Social and Governance category at the Burnley Business Awards 2026.

This one means a lot to us. ESG isn’t just something we talk about, it’s built into everything we do. From extending the life of IT equipment and reducing e-waste, to supporting organisations with sustainable solutions and giving back to our local community, it’s all part of the bigger picture.

To be recognised for that work, alongside so many strong businesses across Burnley, is a real moment for the whole team.

A big thank you to our staff, partners and customers who continue to back what we do. You’re a huge part of why we’re here.

Delighted to say we’ve passed our ADISA recertification again, maintaining our DIAL 2 rating with Distinction ✅

Not going to lie, this one means a lot. The ADISA Standard 8.0 audit is no joke and digs into everything we do, from data erasure and physical security right through to downstream compliance. So to come through it again with a Distinction is a proper result.

It’s a reflection of the standards we set ourselves at RecycleIT and the work the team puts in behind the scenes every single day. No shortcuts, no cutting corners, just doing things properly.

For our customers, it’s continued reassurance that their data is in safe hands and handled exactly how it should be.

🥊 Charity Boxing Match – Supporting a Fantastic Cause

On 11th April, our colleague Jasmine will be stepping into the ring for the very first time, taking part in a charity boxing match in support of Military vs Cancer.

With just one week to go, the training is done and the nerves are kicking in, but it’s all for an incredible cause that supports those in the military community affected by cancer.

Jasmine is aiming to raise as much as possible, and every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Even £1 can go a long way.

💚 A significant new investment arriving at RecycleIT 👀
We’ve taken delivery of a major new investment in our physical data destruction capability with the arrival of our new hard drive shredder, supplied by Ulster Shredders.

This is a serious piece of industrial equipment and a real step change for us. Once commissioned, it will significantly increase our capacity for secure, on-site physical destruction, further strengthening the controls we have in place around end-of-life data.

As an ADISA-accredited organisation, investing in the right infrastructure matters. This isn’t about box-ticking, it’s about building capability that stands up to scrutiny and gives our customers complete confidence in how their data is handled.

Finance Assistant – Part time (20 hours per week, flexible)

Salary - Dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities
Input purchase leger invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
Assistance with accounts receivable and credit control.
Processing sales invoices, expenses, and purchase orders.
Maintaining accurate financial data and systems.
Bank Reconciliations.
Support the finance team with administrative duties.

Requirements
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage) preferred.
Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role.
