Last week, we had the pleasure of spending the day with T-Level students at Nelson and Colne College.

We started with a presentation about Recycle IT and the ITAD industry, before getting hands-on with some practical work — stripping down PCs and laptops, identifying components, and upgrading RAM and SSDs.

The day finished with interviews with all 28 students, with two work placement opportunities available here at Recycle IT.

We have to say, the standard was incredibly high. Every student interviewed extremely well and made the final decision a very difficult one.

A real credit to Nelson and Colne College and a great group of young people taking their first steps into the IT industry.

We’re looking forward to welcoming two of them to Recycle IT and giving them some real-world experience of working within the ITAD and technology sector.

A huge thank you to the students and staff for making us so welcome. 👏💻♻️

A huge congratulations to our very own Carl Greenwood on winning the Sales Star Award at the 2026 CRN Sales & Marketing Awards 🏆
This is a massive achievement and a well deserved recognition for all the hard work, passion and dedication Carl brings to Recycle IT every single day.

The CRN Awards celebrate the very best across the UK IT channel, recognising outstanding sales performance, innovation and impact across the industry, so to see Carl take home this award is something we’re incredibly proud of.

From building strong customer relationships to driving sustainable IT solutions, Carl continues to represent everything Recycle IT stands for.

Congratulations Carl, fully deserved 👏

We’ve got some big news at Recycle IT.

We’re proud to say we’ve been named a finalist in the Environmental, Social and Governance category at the Burnley Business Awards 2026.

This one means a lot to us. ESG isn’t just something we talk about, it’s built into everything we do. From extending the life of IT equipment and reducing e-waste, to supporting organisations with sustainable solutions and giving back to our local community, it’s all part of the bigger picture.

To be recognised for that work, alongside so many strong businesses across Burnley, is a real moment for the whole team.

A big thank you to our staff, partners and customers who continue to back what we do. You’re a huge part of why we’re here.

The awards take place on 9th July at Towneley Hall, and we’re looking forward to a great night celebrating local business.

Good luck to everyone involved 👏

Delighted to say we’ve passed our ADISA recertification again, maintaining our DIAL 2 rating with Distinction ✅

Not going to lie, this one means a lot. The ADISA Standard 8.0 audit is no joke and digs into everything we do, from data erasure and physical security right through to downstream compliance. So to come through it again with a Distinction is a proper result.

It’s a reflection of the standards we set ourselves at RecycleIT and the work the team puts in behind the scenes every single day. No shortcuts, no cutting corners, just doing things properly.

For our customers, it’s continued reassurance that their data is in safe hands and handled exactly how it should be.

Big shoutout to everyone involved in getting this over the line 👏

We’re proud to share that Recycle IT has achieved a 4-star SDG Ambition Rating through Support the Goals for 2026/27 🌍

This recognition reflects the work we’re doing every day to embed sustainability into our operations, from extending the life of IT equipment to reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.

At Recycle IT, sustainability isn’t a bolt-on, it’s built into everything we do:
• Over 90% reuse rate across processed equipment
• Zero landfill policy
• Tree planting initiatives linked to devices sold and e-waste processed
• Supporting organisations with affordable, high-quality refurbished IT

The urgency around the UN Sustainable Development Goals has never been greater. We’re committed to not just setting targets, but taking real, measurable action and encouraging others in our sector to do the same.

A big thank you to Support the Goals for the recognition and for driving accountability across supply chains.

Let’s keep pushing forward 🌱

🥊 Charity Boxing Match – Supporting a Fantastic Cause

On 11th April, our colleague Jasmine will be stepping into the ring for the very first time, taking part in a charity boxing match in support of Military vs Cancer.

With just one week to go, the training is done and the nerves are kicking in, but it’s all for an incredible cause that supports those in the military community affected by cancer.

Jasmine is aiming to raise as much as possible, and every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Even £1 can go a long way.

If you’re able to support, it would be hugely appreciated 🙌

Thank you in advance to everyone who donates and supports!

Big news for RecycleIT… 👏

Our Business Development Manager, Carl Greenwood, has been shortlisted for the Sales Star Award (individual) at the 2026 CRN Sales & Marketing Awards 🔥

Carl is recognised alongside leading names in the industry, including Steve Haskew (Circular Computing) and Rukhsana Hussain (HP), highlighting the calibre of this achievement.

This nomination reflects the work Carl puts in every day, building strong partnerships, delivering value for our customers, and driving RecycleIT forward.

As a previous CRN award-winning business, it’s great to see that recognition continue at an individual level.

A fantastic achievement, fully deserved.

We’re all behind you Carl 👊
