The Pro-Ject 2-Xperience DC is pretty much finished now.
I've had to replace the tonearm with a standard Pro-Ject arm, but it certainly doesn't detract from the sonic ability of the deck.
Aside from painting some accent parts in a graphite grey to give some contrast, the real difference is the motor upgrade.
As standard, the motor rumble can be heard in silent sections of music, despite the rubber band mounting...in fact that can make it worse, as it allows it to oscillate. This motor is decoupled from the plinth, mounting to its own 1kg steel base. No contact means no transfer of vibrations to the stylus, which makes a huge difference to how this sounds.
