Enjoying this useful app by Affective Sound called “Playable” - it lets you consolidate tracks into playlists (like albums in progress), mark sections, change pitch, EQ etc. Worth checking out if you’re hopeless at staying organised like me!

Affective Sound are developing a new audio player for the Mac called Playable and we want to know what you think of it.

It's aimed at musicians who have songs they want to learn, sets they want to work through, or music they want to transcribe.

Playable isn't released yet, but we're asking musicians and music educators to give it a spin and give us some honest feedback.

It lets you do the following:

• Slow down a song and listen closely
• Play along slowly, then go faster
• Play in different keys
• Adjust EQ and focus on an instrument
• Mark and label points in the song
• Automatically increase loop tempo
