Designing a glass balustrade? Take a look at how the check can be approached in Structural Glass Designer.

Structural glass design involves more than selecting a glass thickness. The glass configuration, loading, support conditions and material properties all form part of the calculation.

Already know the steel section you want to check, or need to see which sections could work?

Those are two different starting points, and your software needs to accommodate both.

CADS Steelwork Member Designer can be used stand-alone to check a selected section, or its Auto-Design option can return a selection of suitable sections for the specified conditions.

Finished the design. Why re-enter the same information to start the reinforcement detail?

When design data already exists, making use of it further downstream can remove another unnecessary step from the workflow.

CADS RC can import results from CADS design applications for beams, columns, bases and slabs, using that information for reinforcement detailing and scheduling to configurable preset styles.

For the engineer and detailer, that means existing CADS design information can become the starting point for the next stage — rather than beginning the detailing process with the same information all over again.
