Pro tip:
use facebook .com / messages
instead of messenger .com

Messenger .com's programming is atrocious and has a bunch of bugs, including a major memory leak that occurs only when the narrow view is loaded. CPU usage spikes up and RAM usage jumps from 300 MB up to over 2GB, 3GB, in a few seconds.

Running messenger inside the facebook domain loads slightly different code and this is more lightweight and doesn't crap out the computer's resources.

Is Google Search's Gemini frustrating you?

In uBlock Origin, you can block Google Gemini AI LLM crappy results using the classname M8OgIe, at least for now that is its name.

Add this line to your "My filters" tab in the extension settings:
www.google.com # #.M8OgIe

Apparently the "smart" "AI" flagged us because of the word p ,sy -che lic, this seems weird but ok. We've requested a review but don't know when it'll be reinstated.

if you are struggling with getting english web search results (on google) because you're living in a non-English country, tack this on the end of the search URL:
&lr=lang_en
You can do this with any language, just replace the "en" with your language code!

Increase your internet connection speed!
How? By connecting to multiple connections and bonding them with dispatch-proxy in node.js.

I did this on Windows. As it's node.js I expect it works in Linux and macOS too, but I haven't tested it yet.

Note that this only works if the connections are to different internet sources.

Have you ever needed to restore a Time Machine backup from a newer version to an older version of macOS, perhaps after downgrading?

I just wrote my first tech support guide article today, on my tech support website that I created years ago and never used...
I've been doing tech support over the years but never publicised myself online!
