Owen IT Solutions Our mission is to provide organisations with a sleek, stable and secure infrastructure in which they

Formed in 2012, Owen IT was started with the intention of bringing enterprise level IT to SMEs at an affordable price. This was to help level the playing field and make IT great for everyone, not just those that could afford it. With the huge array of cloud-based services available today, the possibilities are almost endless as these enterprise level services are widely available and competitively

priced. WHERE WE STARTED
Managing Director Jason Owen, started Owen IT back in 2012 after gaining over 15 years experience in the IT support industry working with large businesses in Telecoms, Finance and Marketing. Now eight years on and based out of Filwood Green Business Park in Bristol, Jason and his team are hard at working providing managed services to SMEs in and around the Bristol area. OUR FOCUS
As a managed service provider our key focus is IT Security, Solutions and Support, typically in that order as well. We believe that the highest priority with any business we work with has to be the security of their infrastructure. Once we have a secure environment in place, we can focus on ensuring that the business then has the right tools in place to operate efficiently. Typically, if we get part one and two right, there will be minimal support required from our team. IT with personality
Whilst we completely understand the importance of our role with our clients, we always ensure that our staff have a great work/life balance. We are big believer in healthy mixture of work and play, which is why we’ve created a fun but hardworking culture in our Bristol office. We believe that the environment we have created here give our clients the best experience when interacting with our team.

The one Outlook rule you need to set to save yourself from awkward conversations.

It's called "delay delivery." You set it once in classic Outlook, and from that point on every email you send sits in your Outbox for a specific time (that you set) before it leaves.

If you spot a typo, realise you sent the wrong attachment, or wrote something in frustration you wish you hadn't, you have can a standard 2-minute delay to give you enough time to stop it.

Just delete the email from your Outbox before the timer runs out.

To set it up in classic Outlook:

1. Go to File > Manage Rules & Alerts

2. Click "New Rule" and pick "Apply rule on messages I send"

3. Skip past the conditions so it applies to every email

4. Check "defer delivery by a number of minutes" and set it to 2

5. Save the rule

This is better than Outlook's built-in "Recall" feature, because it works every single time.
