From "Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you" to "I think you're on mute". โ๏ธ ๐๏ธ
Today marks 150 years since the invention of Alexander Graham Bell's telephone. What started as vibrations traveling across a single wire in 1876 has evolved into a global web of fibre optics, 5G, and cloud-based systems that could scarcely have been imagined all those years ago.
Without that rudimentary wooden transmitter, we wouldn't be where we are today. And while we've traded hand cranked phones and switchboards for VoIP, it's still about making sure the right person gets the message at the right time.
At ontel, weโre proud to play our own part in this 150 year old legacy by helping modern businesses stay connected, no matter where they are in the world.
Here's to the innovation that started it all, and to the next century and a half of communication. ๐ก
