We’re thrilled to see the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust join the Avon and Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership, marking the first partnership of its kind in the UK! 🚑💙
Now, when a 999 call is made for life-threatening bleeding, call handlers will be able to direct bystanders to the nearest bleed control kit, providing crucial instructions before paramedics arrive. These kits aren’t just for knife crime—they are vital in road accidents, sporting injuries, agricultural incidents, and more.
Having been directly involved in supporting this initiative—through funding, marketing, and working alongside Avon and Somerset Police to expand kit accessibility—it’s fantastic to see how this partnership is continuing to grow and make a real difference in the community.
