A few little snaps from the past couple of weeks 🤍
It’s been a real mix of family days and work lately.
Beach days with the kids, counting activities with April, dinosaur colouring with Lucas, and then painting, teaching and working in between it all.
That’s the reality of life at this stage.
A little bit of everything, often all in the same day.
My 2 year old turns 3 in September and my 4 year old starts school in a few weeks, so I’ve found myself becoming really aware of how quickly this particular chapter is passing.
And I think it’s made me think a lot more about being present.
I’ve spent the last eight years building this business, and there’s always something else to work towards. Another idea. Another goal. But I think lately I’ve been trying to pause and appreciate what I’ve actually created.
I get to spend my days making things.
I get to explore different mediums, encourage other people to make space for creativity, paint when I have an idea, and build a little business around something I genuinely love doing. I think about creating every single day. And honestly, I’m really grateful that I get to.
I’ve even found myself reaching for my oil pastels lately, just because I’ve been wanting to explore something different. There’s a wall in our house that I want to cover with framed flower paintings, so that’s always good motivation 😂
There’s always going to be something next, but it’s lovely to stop sometimes and fully enjoy the now!
