At the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce Big Debate on Thursday evening. There were so many people there to discuss whether Brighton's creative sector is an undervalued powerhouse.

The answer is short is Yes, and it's undervalued nationally with a very reduced amount of financial support from government and local councils. With a more recognised value to businesses as well as society in general we hope this position will change. We all bring things to the table and it's time that we don't allow another valuable resource to quietly disappear.

Thank you to the panel for bringing different perspectives to the discussion.

💬With a new project about to start in early November, we had a meeting.

We love a session in front of a white board. Lots of pretty pictures later, (we work well with images) we have a plan. Of course in the ex*****on things may change and flex, but we know the direction of travel.

Breakfast meet up of the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors yesterday at Rockwater Hove

You can see from the sky that a storm was brewing but the sun was out and the sound of the sea from the roof terrace was amazing. Reminds us all why we love to live here and experience the elements.

They are always such enlightening events and shows the power of the network.

Delightful start to a Friday at Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

Our guest speaker, Lisa Basket, has taken nightclub door security in her stride in an attempt to rewrite the narrative and given it an empathetic face. Using the power of a friendly face she has found she is able to diffuse tensions before things can escalate.

Now she uses the experience she has gained to change the way things have been done at her company 2nd Line of Defence
