𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗦𝗗 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝘁. 🛠️

​A busy manufacturing floor went dead silent when the budget SSD inside their main CNC machine suffered a catastrophic failure. Inside were years of irreplaceable CAD designs and tooling programs. No backups. Production completely stopped.
​The drive was sent to a local IT lab, but it was far beyond their capabilities, so they forwarded the job straight to 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆.

​𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:
​Advanced Hardware: Connected to our industry-leading Acelab PC-3000 system.
​Extreme Measures: Used precise voltage injection to bypass blown power rails and applied liquid nitrogen to keep the failing silicon stable enough to read.
​The Clone: Stabilised the drive to successfully clone 90% of the raw sectors.

​𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲: That 90% sector recovery equated to 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗡𝗖 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀.

​The machine is back online, and a local business is running at full capacity once again. Budget drives are great until they aren't. When standard methods fail, trust 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆.

Temporary Lab Closure ⚠️
​Very sorry to say that I have to temporarily pause operations at NANDOFF until things cool down. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the lab just can't keep up with this heatwave 🙄.
​Protecting your drives and keeping the recovery equipment at safe operating temperatures is the top priority. I’ll be monitoring the temps closely and will resume work as soon as it’s safe to do so.
​Apologies for the delay on current jobs, and I'll keep you updated!

𝗔 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆! 📸

​Imagine the stress: a professional wedding photographer’s MacBook Pro—loaded with thousands of irreplaceable shots—completely dead and unresponsive.
​The culprit? The battery. It had been drained so far past its limit that the internal chemistry destabilised. The result was a nasty electrolyte leak that spread across the mainboard, causing multiple shorts and making the machine totally inoperable.

​𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿: Our specialists identified and replaced 3 specific shorted components to stabilise the board.

​𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: With the board temporarily revived, we initiated Target Mode and successfully extracted 100% of the photographer’s data.

​𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲: Every photo was saved in full. A professional’s reputation and a couple's memories were protected.

"Unrecoverable" is a word we hear a lot... but we don't always agree with it! 🚫💾

We had a Transcend microSD card come in today that had been on quite a journey. It had already been to two other data recovery labs, and both had rejected it as an "unrecoverable type."

The issue? The standard mainstream tools just couldn't talk to it. Even the latest updates on the commercial gear couldn't touch this case.

But at NANDOFF, we don't just rely on the standard buttons. We connected this card up to our own bespoke custom hardware, specifically designed for these tricky pinouts.

The result? What was deemed "impossible" elsewhere was recovered in just 12 hours.

One very happy lady now has all her holiday snaps back safe and sound! 📸🏖️

We don’t just do standard hard drives and SSDs here at NANDOFF. I actually really like taking on the unusual cases—the ones that other places might turn away.

This week, we had a reMarkable 1.0 tablet land on the bench. It was completely dead and contained highly confidential business information that the client absolutely needed back. No pressure! 😉

These devices aren't the easiest to get into (that glued back panel can be a real pain if you aren't careful!), but I stripped it down to get to the core. The data was stored on an internal eMMC chip, so we had to get a bit creative with the extraction methods to bypass the failed system and pull the raw data directly.

The result? 100% recovery. The client has their critical notes back, and the data remained secure throughout the entire process.
