One big number. A lot of individual stories behind it.

Since moving to Brentwood in 2011, Bakers has now donated more than £1 million to charities and good causes.

Over those 15 years we've supported more than 100 different organisations – from charities we've worked with for many years to foodbanks, hospices, community groups, grassroots organisations and causes nominated by members of our own team.

We never started out with a £1 million target.

The support simply grew as Bakers grew.

Ahead of International Day of Charity on 5 September, we're taking the opportunity to recognise the brilliant people and organisations we've been fortunate enough to get to know along the way.

Because the number is worth celebrating. But what those charities do with the support is far more important.

Businesses don’t just grow in Essex, they give back too.

For Baker Labels, being part of the Essex business community means supporting the people and charities that make the county such a great place to live and work.

Through the Bakers Foundation, the Brentwood-based business donates a portion of its profits each year to local charities, helping organisations such as and make a difference to families across Essex.

We’re excited to share that Baker Labels is now sponsoring young karting driver Roman Curtis for the next 12 months.

Roman recently came to visit us at Bakers with his parents and his kart, so we could meet him properly, hear about his racing journey and measure up for some Bakers branding.

We love supporting young people with talent, ambition and determination, and we’re really looking forward to following Roman’s progress over the coming year.

Proud to organise the pacers once again 👏

Supporting runners to hit their goals is a huge part of what makes race day special, and we’ve loved coordinating the pacing team for the Brentwood Half Marathon over the past few years.

From 1:25 through to 3:00, our pacers help keep runners on track, motivated and pushing all the way to the finish line 💪

Another brilliant year working with an incredible group of runners to make it happen!

The best part of the finish line… 🍫

We love welcoming runners back with well-earned treats - whether it’s a chocolate bar or a brownie, it’s all about helping you refuel after 13.1 miles!

But just before that, our team were right there at the finish line water station - handing out much-needed water, huge congratulations and plenty of support as runners crossed the line 💧👏

If you grabbed something from the Bakers gazebo this year, we hope it hit the spot 😄

What a day 👏

From our amazing runners putting in incredible performances, to the volunteers who make the whole event possible - this is what the Brentwood Half Marathon is all about 💙

Our team were proud to be out on the course and at the finish line, handing out water, big congratulations and plenty of encouragement after 13.1 miles 💧🙌

It was also great to meet Barry & Eddie Hearn and see Matchroom stepping in as headline sponsors - exciting to see the event continuing to grow with such strong support behind it.

The Bakers Team will be back at the tomorrow. As one of the main sponsors alongside we’re excited to be part of this brilliant charity event again this year.

Our volunteers will be there early to help set up the event and point runners in the right direction before and after the race. We’re also on the finish line handing out drinks to finishers and cheering you across the line. 🚿 🥇
Show us your medal after and we’ll give you all a free bar of chocolate🍫

🏃 🏃‍♀️We’ve also organised your team of pacers to get you round the course in a time you’re hoping for. Look out for the flags - pacing from 1hr25 (ooft!) all the way up to the official cut off time of 3hrs. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

Good luck to all runners, especially our squad running again this year!
