Well, this was a lovely one to receive! 🥰

I’m always incredibly grateful when a client takes the time to leave a testimonial, and Louise from Smart Energy Training was very kind with her words.

I helped out during a particularly busy period, creating artwork across print, social and events — and throwing a few ideas into the mix along the way!

My favourite bit has to be:

“More than a designer – an extension of the team.” 💕

That’s exactly what I want JJ Creative to be for my clients. Not just someone who creates the artwork, but someone who can jump in, understand what’s needed, share ideas and take a few things off your plate when things get busy.

A big thank you to Louise for such a lovely testimonial — and I’m looking forward to working together again! 🥰

If you’re a business that could do with an extra pair of creative hands, come and have a nosey at what I do 👇

Is AI stealing my job? 🤖

As a freelance graphic designer, I get asked this quite a lot!

With AI now able to create adverts, posters, logos and pretty much anything else you can think of, are designers worried?

I’ve written a little blog about it and my thoughts on where AI fits into graphic design.

Because yes, AI can be a brilliant tool. But there’s a bit more to good design than typing a prompt and hoping for the best!

What do you think? Has AI changed the way you work yet?

A lot of information to fit into one little booklet… 👀

I’ve been working with Switalskis Solicitors for around five years now, and their New Build Conveyancing Price Guide is one of the projects I work on with them every year.

There’s quite a lot to get into it — pricing, guidance, charts, icons, explanations and all the other things someone might need to know when buying a new build.

This year we added a visual timeline to help show the different stages of the conveyancing journey and what happens along the way.

This is exactly the kind of design work I enjoy.

Taking lots of information, working out what needs to go where, and turning it into something that’s much easier to navigate.

Another one ticked off the list. ✅

And yes, it arrived just in time for the end of the six-week holidays. 😂

40+ organic social media posts created for one client. 👀

Here’s a little look at some of the organic social media content I created for Smart Energy Training between May and August.

Across the project, I created 40+ pieces of organic social media content to support their training centres, courses, events, staff introductions and day-to-day marketing.

From promotional graphics and announcements to staff introductions, course content and brand-led campaigns, I created a flexible design template that could be adapted for different messages and locations, while keeping everything consistent, professional and on-brand.

This is the kind of ongoing graphic design support for social media I love providing to businesses and marketing teams who don't necessarily need a full-time designer, but do need someone who can take their ideas and turn them into polished, engaging content.

If your business needs help creating organic social media content, Instagram graphics, Facebook graphics or online adverts, I can help.

You bring the content. I’ll sort the design. 💙

It’s been a little quiet over here… and there’s a very good reason! 👀

I’ve been so busy working with the amazing team at Smart Energy Training, who have been joining forces with sites up and down the country.

With new training centres launching and existing sites merging, the marketing team have had a LOT going on, and I’ve been helping with the design support behind the scenes.

From A4 printed invites to social media graphics, I’ve been creating artwork to help promote the launches and get people through the doors.

This is just one little snapshot of the work I’ve been doing with them, using a design template I created and adapting it for each new location.

The Nottingham Training Centre launched on 28th July, followed by Stourbridge on 4th August and Ashbourne on 26th August. There’s also Northampton coming up on 22nd September.

I’ll be sharing more bits and bobs from the projects over the next few weeks, so there’s plenty more to come!

The marketing team have been super busy, and it’s been a real pleasure working alongside them and being part of such an exciting journey. 💙

I’ve also been a little quiet on here thanks to the school holidays, juggling work and mum life! Very thankful for the summer camps that have kept me going and meant I’ve still been able to get plenty of work done. 😂

If your team could do with some additional design support, whether it’s a one off project or ongoing help, I’d love to hear from you.

Between juggling work, endless snacks, handstands on demand, and hearing “Mummy” approx. 67,000 times a day… it’s been A LOT 😅

But also…

✨ Farm trips & ice creams
✨ Park days & playdates
✨ Gymnastics wins (she moved up a group!)
✨ Family time & memory-making
✨ AND… I even managed to complete several bootcamps 💪 (go me!)

We wrapped it all up with a weekend in Manchester for the marathon—David absolutely smashed it 🏃‍♂️ and I’m counting it as a win that we got there organised and (mostly) stress-free 🙌

It’s been busy, chaotic, and full-on… but so many lovely moments in there too 💛

I’ve written a little blog about the whole Easter holiday juggle—work, mum life, and everything in between if you fancy a read 👇

If anyone’s looking for something to do over the Easter holidays, here’s a little recommendation…

We visited Bradford Industrial Museum this weekend (mainly to escape the rain!) and ended up staying for 4 hours!

It’s such a great place—plenty for kids to do, really interactive, and completely free (just a donation if you’d like to).

I also had a proper nostalgic moment seeing all the old printing equipment—it took me right back to school, uni, and my early work days 😊

I’ve written my first ever blog about our visit if you fancy a read (be kind!):

Definitely worth a visit if you’ve never been!
