Before and after for this MacBook. It was a lot worse than it looked, with compacted dust seriously jamming up the heat sink. Running a lot cooler now we’ve taken the woolly jumper off.

We at Pc-PartX hope you all have a great weekend and Bank Holiday Monday.
We will be closed Monday 1st and back open Tuesday the 2nd at 9am as normal

After surviving this heat wave, your computer may be in need of maintenance, cleaning up dried-out thermal paste and blowing out dust-clogged fans to help keep it cooler in the future.
With it reaching over 35ºC outside in the sun and how it affected you, imagine the temperature it reached inside your laptop or gaming pc and the effects it left on your machine.

Bring it down to us in store for a full clean-up service to help support its health and longevity.
Contact us on 01709 701200 to book or come visit us at 77 Bawtry Rd, Bramley, Rotherham S66 2TN.
Open 9-5 Weekdays and 9-2 Saturdays (closed Wednesday/Sunday)

We've been asked quite a few times recently if we recycle, and to nail it down...

WE RECYCLE OLD TECH FOR FREE!

We will take anything except for printers and TVs. Any data is destroyed in house (£10 per item if you need certificates) and your computer is sent off to our WEEEWaste centre to be separated and eventually turned into new tech!

If you're like me, you've got a drawer, and maybe a box full of old junk tech that is of no use, so fetch it down and get rid of it safely and securely.

A friendly reminder:

We offer 100% free recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment for non-commercial customers. If you have any tech you are looking to get rid of, like that laptop you bought 25 years ago that's been in the loft for the past 10 years, fetch it on down to us, and we will dispose of it properly. Your data is destroyed in-house (with certificates available at £10 per drive, with bulk pricing available), and the computers are taken to a local WEEE waste site, where they are destroyed, and the metals are recycled into new products.

If you're unsure whether there is any data on the computers, we offer a service to back up all user data so you know your information is safe before we destroy the drives.

We accept any electronics except for inkjet printers and televisions. Please call before dropping off your WEEE waste with us, so we can make sure we have space.
