😳Yes, it’s now just 2 sleeps till Leeds Marathon 😳
If i’m not ready now, i never will be - we’ve trained ( long and hard ) and we’ve talked about nothing else for the last couple of months - so tomorrow it’s time to put it all together - kit - carbs - sleep
oh and pack the goodies for along the way 😊 see pic below 😄
❤️❤️HHT Awareness ❤️❤️
In preparation for running 26.2 miles the anxiety of not completing due to my condition is rather high 😬 but i will complete this run, as so far my nosebleeds might delay me from meeting you on time, prevent me from doing certain things, interrupt a meal, you only have to ask my hubby and he’ll no doubt tell you other things it interrupts 😳 🙈🙊
But again, i’m lucky, a few words from a fellow HHT patient the lovely Lynn Wiliams makes me realise how lucky i am
Hi , i’m Lynn, I’ve had a HHT journey. Diagnosed in 1996 after the birth of my fourth child . Issues include nosebleeds , TIA (mini stroke) x 3 . Iron infusions /
Blood 🩸 transfusions. i’ve had PAVMs embolised,
Now i have blood transfusions 2-3 units weekly and Ferrinject every three weeks .
The only symptoms I had as a child were nosebleeds, tiredness etc but HHT was unheard of . When I had my last child and was still in hospital I was asked if I was an alcoholic because I had a lot of small red dots all over.
After that I was referred to Poole General hospital for an endoscopy and was informed they thought it was HHT . Referred to a Genetics clinic, had a blood test which was sent to Edinburgh, who confirmed that I did have HHT .
Three of my children and one grandchild have hht x
Thank you Steph and Vangelis, Judith and Tracy-Ann for your kind donations, along with everyone who has donated we have raised together £600 and we will make a difference, HHT in Ireland
