Grab 'em while they're hot, Fauna Mk.II Fuzz now available via the link in bio!

Just an FYI, as a small pedal maker we only carry a modest level of stock. We gauge the quantity of parts we need to order from suppliers based on pre-order volumes. So the sooner you pre-order the sooner your pedal ships!

Pedals begin shipping from August 30th.

As always use ๐ŸŽง for best audio.

4 years after the original circuit was born, the Fauna Mk.II maintains the original design fuzz circuit that offers truly unique fuzz & drive tones while introducing new features including a whole new sub-octave circuit derived from a rare vintage transistor based effect. Other additions include a transformer input section, assignable octave footswitch, performance improvements... the list goes on.

You can't get more fuzz in one box than this.

Pre-order opens Sunday August 15th.

Here it is folks, the fruit of my labour. 8 months after starting work on this new version of the Fauna I'm very excited to finally share a taste of what it can do with you. I love this pedal to bits, I hope you do too!

Pre-order goes live this Sunday, & there is still time to get on the mailing list for early access. Link in bio. Pedals will start shipping from August 30th on a first come first serve basis.

A little about the Fauna Mk.II:

4 years after the original, the Fauna Mk.II maintains the original design fuzz circuit that offers truly unique fuzz & drive tones while introducing new features including a whole new sub-octave circuit derived from a rare vintage transistor based effect. Other additions include a transformer input section, assignable octave footswitch, performance improvements... the list goes on.

Key Features:
- Original core fuzz circuit that gives a wide range of distortion tones from light crunch to thick lead to sputtering velcro fuzz.
- Footswitchable octave that is now assignable via the octave toggle switch.
- Octave up
- Sub-Octave
- Dual Octave
- Transformer based input section which ensures consistent performance anywhere in your chain & also gives some magnetic distortion possibilities when stacking with other pedals.
- New Texture circuit that makes use of the transformers inductive reactance to cause high frequencies to saturate earlier, giving unique fuzz & octave textures.

The talented Matt from took some time out his very busy schedule to put the new Fauna Mk.II through its paces with some riffs. Give him a follow & check out his Youtube channel for more great tone ideas & lessons on how to play like ypur favourite guitarists.

Big thanks to Matt, & Andy over at for lending him his Fauna!

I'm just polishing the full demo I've been working on which will be up later today! Only a few days until pre-order opens, there's still time to get on the mailing list for early access.

A proper demo is on the horizon! Hoping to have it up tomorrow evening if I can help it, plus there'll be a couple of video's landing from some of our pals over the next few days ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

One week til the drop! If you're not already jump on the mailing list for early access ๐Ÿ˜

Enough teasing, I'm very pleased to announce the coming release of the Fauna Mk.II! ๐Ÿ˜ This is a very special pedal to me, read on to find out why.

It will be available to pre-order from the 15th of August 2021, with early access for mailing list subscribers! Link in bio.

So what makes the Fauna Mk.II special? The core original fuzz circuit remains the same, giving the same range of crunch to gnarly velcro as before but with some added features & performance improvements that increase its versatility tenfold. Most noteably, the octave footswitch is now assignable to either the original octave up, a new sub-octave circuit based on a rare vintage pedal, or both in unison!

The new sub-octave is a fully transistor based design, rather than flip-flop chip based like most octavers are. Both are great, but this type of circuit has a distinct character which integrates perfectly with Fauna's fuzz circuit.

Another noteable feature is the Balance control, which still has the same tone function as before, but now also works as a blend control between your dry fuzz signal & octave effects or blends between the octave up & octave down, depending what setting you're in.

The 3rd big addition is the Texture switch which utilizes the new transformer based input section to create an inductive tone circuit that causes high frequencies to saturate earlier. This results in thick chewy fuzz textures & smooth highs especially noticeable with the octave up engaged. This is the same effect you could achieve with the old version by rolling off your guitar's tone control, which still works, but is now easily accessible at the flick of a switch.

You can find out about all the other improvements via the link in our bio!

It's taken a lot of time & hard work to get it right, it's really challenged me as a builder but I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out. This is a pedal I've dreamed about making for years & I'm very excited to be sharing it with you!

I've still got some i's to cross & dots to T before launch day, in the meantime check out previous posts for sound bites & I'm working on some full length demos which will be up in the coming weeks!

Part 2 to yesterday's video. I think a lot of you have already guessed what this pedal is! I'll be fully lifting the veil in the next day or so.

I've been working on this since January so I'm very excited to finally be getting it out there, of everything I've made its by far the thing I'm most proud of. I think you're going to love it!

Guesses in the comments โฌ‡๏ธ although I don't think its much of a secret anymore ๐Ÿ˜‚

New pedal teaser No.2! Ever heard of inductive reactance? This switch does something with that, & it sounds like this...

06/07/2021

After spending a few months learning the ins & outs of audio/video editing its time to start dropping the teasers!

Still got a lot to learn but this 11 second video (that some how took me a whole 7 hours to record & edit) is the first example of something I've made that actually sounds like it does in the room.

They say any sufficiently advanced technology isย indistinguishable from magic. The producers & demo makers among you that make it look so easy are all magicians to me, this stuff is hard!

Lets hope I can do it again ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐ŸŽง for best experience.

So this weekend I sent this old thing off to a new home. I literally pulled this desk out of the dump when I first decided I wanted to make pedals & I didn't have a penny to my name (not that there are many pennies to it now). I designed my first ever circuit on this thing, its Forest Effects' ground zero.

But for the last few years its been a dumping ground for parts & various other paraphernalia, taking up space in an already crowded workspace. So it was time for it to move on, goodbye old friend!
