About Us: Rational is the world leader in labelling and marking for the Egg-Packing industry. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Designer / Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: The person hired will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the workshop while also operating CNC machinery, 3D-Printers as well as manual mills and lathes to ensure precision and quality in our production processes. The role requires strong engineering skills, technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, be familiar with CAD (we use 3DStudio and Inventor). A strong understanding of manual milling and lathe machining is essential as well as knowledge of programming, setting and operating a CNC milling machine.
Training will be provided, as needed, to complement any skills that require further development.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Manage and oversee daily operations of the workshop
โข Coordinate with coworkers about components needed
โข Provide guidance as needed
โข Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition
โข Read, interpret and create schematics and technical drawings
โข Manufacturing of metal and plastic parts using the workshop equipment, both CNC and NC.
โข Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
โข Monitor production quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
