Practical completion at The Lewis school.

Over the past six weeks, the team have been hard at work on what I would describe as one of our most exciting projects yet. What have we been up to?

☑️School Hall PA system.
A brand new Digtial PA system with performance in mind, whilst also providing crystal clear clarity for guest speakers & Assembly’s. This system packs a punch and will certainly give students a real taster of what it’s like to play with a professional set up !

☑️School Hall decorative acoustic treatment.
A school known for its talents in musical and theatre performance, This acoustic treatment will certainly create an audience friendly environment. These sound-absorbing materials help reduce echo, reverberation, noise levels and improve speech and music clarity. Not only that, it’s easy on the eye!

☑️”The Mac Room”
It’s the digital age composing & music production.
The brand new graphite grey work stations along with the electrical and data infrastructure certainly creates a space all students can succeed in.

☑️ The practice Rooms.
We’ve helped create a practical space for students to “jam” it out. Adding acoustic walls panels to help dampen reverb and feedback. It’s a great space for all!

☑️ The Live Room.
This large dual purpose performance room really is the place to be if you love music ! Not only have we added acoustic pads, we’ve installed secondary double glaze, slat wood panelling and sound proof treatment between the control room and live room.
We have supplied all gear from drum shields, to boom mic stands. This facility is ready from the get go !

☑️The recording Studio
Saved the best until last. A fully spec’d recording studio that any musician would be thrilled to use!
It’s the full package! Decorated with creativity in mind, a place to write and record your debut Album! This studio can live track a fully loaded Rock band to a solo vocalist. What an awesome room for students to see what it’s like to record and produce music at a professional level. Music tech at its finest.

From concept, design and installation. ASM has provided the decorative, AV and electrical services for this fantastic project.

For myself and Richard, it’s a real special one. Both past students of this amazing school and the music department. It’s been real pleasure to see it come together. Good luck to the students and music department and thank you for trusting us with your project.

Keeping updated with all things structured cabling.

I started my journey back in 2008, straight out of school and luckily found a “trainee” position to get stuck into. I can’t say it came to me naturally at first, all I wanted was to make it as a musician in a heavy metal band 🤣. I was thrown into the deep end, straight onto active building sites. New education buildings, data centres in the south wales valleys and a whole lot of corporate office fit outs.

A few years later I was offered to
Attend Cnet Training to sit the copper installers course which gave me greater understanding and the tools provided for first class installations.

Shortly after I was given a promotion to supervisor. I began to manage all labour and site operations. I was lucky to learn off some of the best wales had to offer and my drive to succeed was never stronger.

Fast forward to 2018, my previous employer fell on hard times and fell into liquidation.

No better time to leap into self employment,

ASM Networks Ltd was born, From here I enrolled myself onto the CNIDP course to better understand the design and tendering processes.
And what a difference this truly made !

Fast forward to 2026, we’re still here and giving our best on the daily.

With my business partner and Brother Richard Morgan at the helm of our NIC approved electrical division, not to mention our IP sercuity operations.

ASM is quickly becoming a trusted partner for many business across the Wales and England.

I pride myself on our customer first approach and the feedback given by our customers reflects this.

Check out this IT suite completed in recent days on the run up to a well deserved Christmas shut down.

The Team was tasked with the design and installation of this IT suite to maximise usable space within the classroom. After careful consideration and discussions with our customer, the pictures below show the finished product. A user friendly workspace created for 34 students, teacher and a interactive learning wall. Crafted and installed with budget in mind whilst keeping quality at the centre of our installation.

The team was responsible for the installation of:

✅Graphite grey worktops

✅Cat6a compliant Marshall Tufflex three compartment dado trunking

✅New Cat6a structured cabling and new distribution comms cabinet.

✅Multimode fibre optic link to the campus distribution cabinet.

✅New 32amp circuits and outlets.

✅New 86” interactive screen.

Fantastic work by the team again and another Happy customer 🎉

Thursday evening seen us let our hair down with a game of laser tag (90’s classic and never to old to play), Titanic Escape room followed by Hickory’s smoke house.

It’s been another fantastic year with a whole lot more to come in January. Thank you so much to our customers new and old, suppliers and not forgetting the core team Simon, Sam and Liam.

From Richard and I, we hope everyone has an amazing Christmas spent with family and friends full of joy and laughter.

Fantastic to have Bistro 8 on board with ASM, this week seen the team upgrade the aging external lighting to a new robust LED system. Along with this, the team has been installing new circuits throughout. Which will support Bistro 8’s already excellent facilities to keep serving you top quality produce as always.

Another year wrapped up and time for a well deserved Christmas break. A year to be proud of without a doubt.

fantastic progress being made by the team on our BTR project in Bristol City centre.

Successfully handed over multiple design and build school/extensions within our local authority contract, along with support and installation in existing education and corporate buildings.

Installation of audio visual technology which is being rolled out as part the Welsh governments Ed Tech scheme.

Substantial growth within our electrical division, this includes successful application as a NIC approved Contractor.

New customer engagement with successful tender bids, Going into the new year with a substantial order book and ready to hit the ground running.

Thank you to our supply chain for their continued support as always. Most of all a heart felt thank you to the boots on the ground, you are the reason we continue to succeed and grow and I can’t thank you enough.

2025 will mark 7 years of ASM Networks and I am extremely proud of what we have achieved along the way.

ASM Networks are looking to employ a reliable and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant on a part-time basis to join our busy Electrical/Structured Cabling company based at our Blackwood office.

Previous experience in administration is preferable.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:
• You will have strong communication skills.
• A methodical approach to planning and organising your tasks to ensure they are carried out in a timely manner and to an accurate and high standard.
• Time management is key.
• You will be able to work independently and efficiently.
• Confidence in dealing with clients in a caring and professional manner both on the telephone and online.
• Prioritising tasks/duties within expected given deadlines.
• Ability to draft emails independently in a professional manner.
• IT literate and the ability to use; Outlook/Microsoft/Excel/*QuickBooks.

*Experience using QuickBooks is preferable, but not essential, as training will be provided.

• Providing general administrative support.
• Compiling client requests from emails/telephone.
• Dealing with enquiries via telephone calls and emails prior to them being passed to the appropriate person.
• Data entry using QuickBooks software.

• Emailing and corresponding with various clients.
• Scheduling telephone calls/meetings.
• Diary/calendar planning.
• Other duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the office.
