Bigger is not always better .. Too big and you might go cross-eyed; too small and you'll squint. So what is just right? Goldilocks was certain that she knew but we know better, and we're not reading from a story book.

It all depends on the size of the room, lighting and ceiling height and screen size and none of it measured in isolation either! The view from the sofa, the distance across the room and the direction of natural and artificial light all shape a considered cinema layout. Planning them together helps the space feel coherent before finishes and furniture make changes harder.

A front door is only one part of the picture. Side access gates, rear doors, up stairs windows and doors on sheds or garages can all affect how a home security plan is approached.
