Masters of the Universe 2026, is it any good?

The long and short of it is, yes it is. There is more good than bad. Very much better than any of the Transformers movies. Though to be honest that is a pretty low bar. All the characters are on point, and it's probably Leto's best performance since, well since probably ever. What the film does do best is handle the absurdity of the original cartoon, poke fun at it, explain it and then add a sprinkle of absurdity of its own. There are easter eggs, and in gags. There are even gags you may have to explain to He-man outsiders, but there is enough in here to keep most people entertained. Some of the editing in some of the fight scenes is a bit inconsistent but overall the action is good. Some may compare it to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, in tone. But I think the creators looked at Flash Gordon, and thought let's do that.

My only real gripe is that there is not enough Cringer. However the film does a pretty good job of balancing a lot of characters. But when he does show up, he does not disappoint. Hopefully there is a sequel. Because I do want 2 hours of Battlecat tearing the s**t out of stuff.
