Just a few bits that we have been up to. Today is Mr Hoopsy’s birthday. My dear husband who in his spare time, fixes my printers and cutters, helps me with box templates and generally is just the most amazing husband. Printer is back up and running and we are full steam ahead. Thank you for your patience, the bad side of having a very expensive printer is I cannot afford two of them. Please just bear with us the next day or so as we work all the hours to catch up.

Happy Monday - It is not quite as happy here sadly as our printer has a broken part so we are unable to do any box /card printing. Do not panic, the engineer will be here tomorrow with the new part and we are spending today getting everything proofed and ready so tomorrow we can churn it all through. We do have other printers though so all sticker, vellum, books etc will be printed today. Hope your day runs more smoothly than ours ;-)

HOW A MARKET CHANGES - So some years ago during covid I was working from my dining room and advent calendars went boom, our turnaround was about 6 weeks and we were shipping thousands and we were working every hour that was sent us. When I look back to covid I can't believe that everything boomed so much as so many people started up their businesses. The wax small businesses also completely boomed and a lot of our customers came from there. There was no oil suppliers selling advents so we had a big part of the micro craft market along with a couple of box suppliers. Fast forward to now and its a very different story, more people are selling advents, including all the oil suppliers cheaply. We still take a lot of advent orders for those who really want to stand out and have something unique and branded. We have found that the wax market is no where near what it is, it almost crashed and burned as it became swamped but I am seeing that it is coming back and there are some very successful wax businesses. We have moved into other markets as well as wax customers and are lucky that we are still super busy. Did Covid affect your business - it certainly did us but also made us go VAT registered which was not fun.
