In recent years, cyberattacks have become increasingly sophisticated, and organizations are struggling to keep up with the evolving threat landscape. With the proliferation of cloud computing and remote work, traditional perimeter-based security models are no longer sufficient to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure. In response to this new reality, a new security paradigm has emerged called zero-trust.

Zero-trust is a security model that assumes that every user and device accessing an organization's resources is untrusted and must be authenticated and authorized before being granted access. This approach is in contrast to traditional security models that assume that users and devices within the organization's perimeter are trusted and therefore do not require additional verification.

The zero-trust model is based on the principle of least privilege, which means that users and devices are only given the minimum amount of access required to perform their tasks. This is in contrast to traditional security models, which often provide excessive privileges that can be exploited by attackers to gain access to sensitive information.

Following a review of our operating model and reports coming in from our various advertising channels we have a few items to announce to our customers:

We're pleased to announce we’ve decided to add on a residential arm to our Business. We’re in the early stages of building Business and are changing various elements of our go-to-market strategy; and given the need for revenue, a residential arm will help generate much needed profit that will be reinvested into the companies.

0TEQ Security Ltd will run all B2C (Home and small business users) and our Parent company Harrison-Atkinson Technology Consultancy Ltd will handle only B2B (Business to Business only) Small to medium enterprises, NGOs, Government tenders & handle channel partnerships in collaboration with 0TEQ Security Ltd.

Secondly, it has been decided that both companies will charge VAT. This was determined yesterday and an application lodged with HMRC, it will allow us to recoup a great deal of the initial costs in the establishment fees.

Prices will be increased (although we will always quote excluding VAT, as most clients are VAT registered and can claim these costs back)to reflect this change at a rate of 20%, this is to ensure we have enough liquidity available to lay out to HMRC when we process our second return and have to pay taxes collected as these are backdated. VAT numbers are not yet available, as soon as they are they will be displayed on invoices. VAT will be backdated to approximately the 01/02/2023.

Finally, we are creating a staff bank. We need a variety of staff on hand that were able to call on as needed. We will be writing up candidate profiles over the coming weeks and will publish these on Facebook, Indeed and Monster. If you know anybody in the IT industry specially: a platform engineer , cloud security engineer, pe*******on tester, project manager or anything similar please ask them to get in touch ! We’re at it again on Sunday and we’re staying here until 5pm and will leave our social media channels open post that. At the moment, we’re working really hard on pushing our name out there so people will start to recognise us and take the opportunity to harness our wealth of services in their organisations.

Whilst most Companies are well aware of the Time, Cost, and Scope pyramid, famous in Project Management, we like to tweak this to include quality. Sometimes this can mean we don't make much of a profit from our work. Still, our customers are our passion, and to grow as a Business, word of mouth is critical, so instead we see it better to do a quality-assured project for our clientele as part of our QA policy; than simply hard-line stick to a budget.
