The most expensive IT problems are usually the ones nobody reports.

Because they're not really "problems".

They're just...
A slow login.
A file that takes too long to open.
A system that freezes occasionally.
A process that requires three extra steps.

Nothing serious.
So nobody says anything.

People just adapt.
Work around it.
Put up with it.

But across a business?

Those small frustrations add up to lost hours every week.

The challenge isn't finding the big issues.
It's spotting the things everyone has quietly accepted as normal.

What's the oldest piece of tech in your business?

Be honest 👀

The printer everyone is afraid to touch?
The PC that's somehow still running?
The server nobody wants to switch off?

Every business seems to have one.

The piece of technology that's become...
"mission critical"
Purely because nobody wants to risk replacing it.

We're curious... what's the oldest bit of tech still keeping your business running?

If your cloud setup needs explaining...
It's probably too complicated ⚠️

"Use this folder."
"No, not that one."
"That's the old version."
"Check Teams instead."

Sound familiar?

Cloud systems are supposed to make work easier.

But when people spend half their time trying to find the right file...

The problem isn't the cloud.
It's the setup.

The best cloud environments don't need explaining.

People simply know where things are.

AI adoption is accelerating.
So are security concerns.

New UK research shows businesses are investing heavily in AI while also increasing spending on cyber security.

That tells its own story.

Because the opportunity is obvious.

Greater efficiency.
Better productivity.
Faster decision making.

But there's another side to the conversation.

New tools create new risks.

More data being shared.
More systems being connected.
More access points to manage.

The challenge isn't adopting AI.
It's making sure security keeps pace with it.

Because the businesses getting the most value from AI won't be the ones moving fastest.

They'll be the ones using it with the right controls in place.

The IT setup that got you here…
Might not handle where you’re going ❌

That’s the problem a lot of growing businesses run into.

The systems worked fine when:
• there were fewer people
• fewer devices
• less data
• less pressure on the business

But growth changes things.

Suddenly:
• systems slow down
• visibility gets harder
• security gaps appear
• small issues become bigger ones

And temporary fixes start piling up.

Because the challenge with growth isn’t just scaling the business.
It’s making sure the systems behind it can scale too.

UK businesses faced 5.19 MILLION cyber crimes last year.
Let that sink in 😳

Not attempted attacks.
Cyber crimes.

And this is the uncomfortable part…

Most businesses still think:
“We’re probably too small to be targeted.”

But cyber attacks don’t just target big companies anymore.

Because attackers don’t need a specific business.
They just need an opportunity.

And with attacks now happening at scale…that opportunity is everywhere.

Back from the bank holiday…
And hoping nothing’s gone wrong while everyone was away? 👀

No failed backups 🙏
No missed alerts 🙏
No systems falling over 🙏
No emails stuck somewhere they shouldn’t be 🙏

That’s the problem for a lot of businesses.

They don’t really know what’s happening behind the scenes until something stops working.

And by then?

Everyone’s back online.
Teams are trying to work.
And the pressure’s already started.

Good managed IT support isn’t just about fixing issues when people report them.

It’s about visibility 👀
Knowing what’s happening 👀
Spotting problems early 👀
And making sure things are still running while everyone else switches off 👀

Because “hopefully everything’s fine”… isn’t really an IT strategy.

Can you tick any of these boxes from this week? 👀

☐ “Can you hear me now?”
(on another Teams call)
☐ Waiting for something to load… again
☐ Chasing an email that never arrived
☐ Restarting something because “it was being weird”
☐ Using a workaround instead of fixing the issue properly
☐ Asking:
“Has the WiFi gone down?”
☐ Logging into the same thing multiple times
☐ Saying:
“It’s been doing that for ages”
☐ Someone mentioning IT problems… again
☐ Putting off looking into it until next week

None of these feel major on their own.
But when they become normal?
That’s usually a sign something isn’t right behind the scenes.

Cyber attacks are getting easier to create.
That’s what UK regulators are warning about right now.

Not because hackers suddenly became smarter.
Because AI is helping them move faster.

Emails.
Fake messages.
Scams.
Impersonation.

The kind of attacks that used to take time and effort…
Can now be created at scale.

And that’s the dangerous part.

Because these attacks don’t always look suspicious anymore.

They look normal.
More convincing.
More personalised.
Harder to spot.

Which means businesses can’t rely on:
“We’d probably notice.”
That’s becoming far less reliable.

Most businesses think cyber security means having antivirus.
And that’s about it.

But real cyber security usually looks very different.

It’s:
• checking who has access to what
• securing Microsoft 365 properly
• making sure backups actually work
• stopping threats before they spread
• identifying risks quietly building in the background

Because most attacks don’t happen because a business had “no security”.
They happen because something small was overlooked.

An old device.
A reused password.
A setting nobody checked.

That’s the problem.

Cyber security isn’t one thing.
It’s everything working together properly.
