Kinetic IT are highly experienced in the IT infrastructure industry boasting some of the most experienced professionals in our industry. We employ a very highly experienced and motivated staff who all share the same philosophy in delivering a professional, high quality service to our clients. Our more senior Designers and Project Managers have all held high profile positions while controlling some of the largest and most complex IT Projects the industry has seen over the past 20+ years

Where do we come from? Formed in early 2010, Kinetic IT’s staff and management come from trusted backgrounds in varying IT infrastructure sectors and have a vast wealth of experience within the industry. Our diverse and agile ability as a company allow us to combine our specialist skill sets to give our clients as much or as little as they want in the areas they need to get the job done! We also work with a selection of trusted partner companies and consultants that offer anything outside of our own specialisations such as M&E, security and construction, so a full turnkey solution can be offered to each and every client. How do we do it? It’s easy! We spend time with our clients from day one to ensure that their needs are completely tailored to and the correct calibre of personnel is in place to achieve the results they want! Our relationships with our clients are built on a basis of long term trust, professionalism and respect. We will not let you down at any cost!

🍂 Autumn MixingIT is coming! 🍂

On Thursday 15th October at 4:30pm, the Autumn MixingIT event will be taking place at Byward Kitchen & Bar, and we’re proud to be sponsoring what promises to be another fantastic opportunity to connect, network and bring our industry together.

At Kinetic IT, we’re always passionate about supporting events that create opportunities for people across our industry to come together, share ideas and build meaningful connections and MixingIT is a great example of exactly that.

But this event is about more than networking. ❤️

This year, we’ll also be raising money for Spread a Smile, a fantastic charity bringing joy and laughter to seriously ill children in NHS hospitals and hospices across the UK.

Through in-person and virtual visits, family events and a team of incredible entertainers ranging from magicians and musicians to artists, fairies and therapy dogs — Spread a Smile helps bring moments of happiness to children and families facing the challenges of serious illness and hospitalisation.

Since 2013, they have delivered over 15,000 in-person bedside visits and more than 2,500 virtual visits every year, working with 39 NHS hospitals and six hospice partners.

We’re proud to be able to support such an important cause while enjoying an evening with our industry colleagues.

Some news is just incredibly difficult to put into words. 💙

We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of our dear friend, Joe Canvin.
Joe was someone who knew so many people within the Kinetic family, and his loss has been felt deeply by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Most importantly, our thoughts are with Joe’s two beautiful boys, Charlie and Jude, who now have to face life without their dad.

In memory of Joe, on Friday 6th November 2026 at 7:30pm, we will be coming together with Sellebrity Soccer at Sheppey United Football Club for a Celebrity Charity Football Match, raising funds to support his two beautiful boys ⚽️💙

This isn’t just about football. It’s about coming together as a community, remembering Joe, celebrating his life and making sure Charlie and Jude know they have people around them who care.

No family should ever have to go through a loss like this, and while we can’t take away their pain, we can come together to offer love, support and help for the road ahead.
Such heartbreaking news, but hopefully together we can turn some of that sadness into something positive. ❤️

A Day in the Life | Charlie Sheppard 👷‍♂️

Over the past two weeks, Charles Sheppard, alongside Ray O'Sullivan, has been working with our client’s team, supporting a busy decommissioning and cabling project.

No two days on site are quite the same. Charlie and Ray have been involved in the hands-on work required to decommission existing infrastructure, support cabling activities and help keep the project progressing safely and efficiently.

For Charlie, being out on site is also about being part of the wider team. Working alongside Ray and the client’s team, supporting where needed and helping overcome the challenges that come with a live project is something he really enjoys.

💛 Supporting Spread a Smile

At Kinetic IT, we’re proud to support Spread a Smile, a charity dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families during some of the most difficult times.

Our support has already included fundraising events such as our Spread a Smile Charity Lunch Day, held in July, where our team came together to raise money and, most importantly, help spread a little happiness.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’re delighted to continue supporting Spread a Smile through the upcoming MixingIT event on Thursday 15th October 2026.

Events like this bring people and businesses together for a great cause, helping raise valuable funds for the charity and the incredible work they do.

Project Spotlight | Berlin Data Centre 🇩🇪

Once again, our Data Centre team, led by Wayne Steele, is working within a flagship facility in Berlin, delivering a complex infrastructure solution in a demanding, live environment for one of our hyperscale customers.

The project involves the installation of hundreds of metres of high-level containment systems, including ladder racking, fibre raceways, metal basket and more, alongside multiple customer-specific racks and ODF frames.

The team is also installing associated OS2 ribbon fibre cabling between the landing rooms and the facility MMR rooms, as well as earthing, Busbar Tap-Off boxes and rack-mounted PDUs for each customer rack — supporting a robust and scalable data centre deployment.

With Wayne Steele acting as the senior lead on site, the works are being closely managed to ensure everything is delivered in line with Kinetic IT standards, maintaining quality, consistency and attention to detail throughout the build.

A Week in the Life of Pawel – Project Coordinator 👷‍♂️📋🚗

Behind every successful project is someone making sure all the moving parts come together — and that’s exactly what Pawel does as one of our Project Coordinators at Kinetic IT!

Pawel works across a variety of projects, working closely with local authorities, councils and Mick Kilroy and our wider project teams.
This week, Pawel has been supporting our Opticore project, where there’s been plenty happening on site.

His role has involved coordinating with the engineers to understand the requirements, confirm the planned works and make sure everyone is aligned before work gets underway.

The project itself includes a range of technical works, including:

🔌 Patching and reconfiguring existing structured cabling
🔎 Tracing and identifying services required for meeting room operation
🧪 Testing existing cabling and identifying any faults or remedial works required
🛠️ Re-terminating faulty cabling, cable management and minor rerouting
📡 Installing and connecting wireless access points
🔦 Extending and re-terminating existing OM4 fibre links, followed by testing and certification

Pawel has also been out on site meeting the engineers , helping confirm exactly what needs to be delivered and making sure the process is clear from the outset.

When he’s not on site, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes — catching up on emails, carrying out surveys, preparing quotes for the Project Managers and looking for new opportunities for Kinetic IT.

It’s a role that involves communication, organisation, problem-solving and a good understanding of what’s happening both on site and behind the scenes.

From picking up materials, to meeting customers and engineers, surveying sites and coordinating works, no two days are quite the same.

Another busy week, another week of keeping Kinetic IT moving! 💪

A Week in the Life of Our Office Team 🏢☕🍪

Behind every successful project is a team working hard behind the scenes to keep everything moving — and our office team is at the heart of it all!

From the PMO team, Accounts and Project Management, our office is a busy hub where collaboration, communication and, of course, the occasional debate over which biscuits to buy, happen every day! 😂

Our PMO team are the bridge between our teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders, making sure everyone has the information and support they need to keep projects moving forward.

On a day-to-day basis, that means everything from managing valuations, ordering materials, preparing quotes and cost sheets, maintaining training matrices, and arranging accommodation for our staff and contractors. We work closely with the Project Managers, Accounts team and wider business to make sure the right things happen at the right time.

It's not always about spreadsheets, figures and deadlines, though. Our office is also about teamwork, problem-solving, plenty of communication and having a laugh along the way — whether that's debating the office biscuit selection or getting together to plan our next charity event and find ways to give back to the community. 🍪❤️

Whether we're liaising with stakeholders, supporting our teams on the ground, keeping projects financially on track or simply making sure the office runs smoothly, there's always something happening.
We're the link that keeps people, projects and stakeholders connected.
Another busy week, another week of keeping Kinetic IT moving! 💪

National Wellness Month 💚

August is National Wellness Month

A good reminder that while we're often focused on keeping our projects, systems and sites running smoothly, we also need to make sure we're looking after the people who make it all happen.

The data centre industry is fast-paced.

🟨Tight deadlines

🟨 Complex projects

🟨24/7 environments

Multiple teams, contractors and stakeholders working together to keep critical infrastructure moving.

But behind every successful project is a team of people.

And just like the infrastructure we work with, people perform at their best when they are properly supported, maintained and given the right environment to succeed.

Wellness doesn't always mean a major change. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a proper break, checking in with a colleague, getting away from the screen, staying active, or recognising when someone might need a little extra support.

For us, looking after people isn't separate from delivering great work — it's part of it.

Because the strongest projects aren't just built on technology and infrastructure.

They're built by healthy, supported and engaged teams.

This National Wellness Month, let's remember to look after the people behind the data centre industry too. 💚
