Not the best piece of work I've created but something which was still fun and different to try. A brief stating to illustrate a watch that tells the time in a pictorial way⌚️ A design which has a story behind it. Despite only having a couple of hours available to do this, it's always great to give things a shot 🎨

My design concept "The Last Train Home."🚂 Growing up, I had an obsession and love for trains. It was a big interest in my childhood. Why not put this into something simple, how this form of transport gets us to and from work and our destinations everyday 🛤 ☀️🌙 Illustrating a landscape world, using the train itself moving to each hour, and having the simple element of a cloud/steam as the minute handle.☁️ Physically illustrated with a few digital adjustments to make it experimental and textured 🙌

The Attention Harvester 👀
Behold my newest and latest skateboard, put a lot of my strict thinking and artistic expression into this bad boy 🛹🎨

First off, the giant figure dominates the board as the body is made from fragments of digital culture. Phone screens, keyboards, speakers, icons and sits powerfully like a king. In our world today, it is basically becoming the Age of Ultron due to the dominance of AI, the darkness of how addictive technology is and the dangerous harms it possesses. From people including children being brainwashed by fake images, fake news to cyberbullying and scammers. Behind a simple little handheld device can have catastrophic consequences 📱

The threads emerging from the figure, represents the things we give away every day, how technology connects to our minds. What we look at, listen to, communicate with, what we create and what or who we interact with. The Harvester patiently waits and strikes consuming us unaware of what we are losing. Our attention, time, creativity, emotions, memories and pieces of our identity. Seconds of scrolling easily becomes hour and sounds of notifications which clicks us straight back into the void. The overall piece symbolises of a forever hungry network. Emotionally, the Harvester isn’t simply taking information, it is competing for our attention and emotional energy. We simultaneously feel overwhelmed, distracted and disconnected from the real-world around us and feel we cannot look away from the web

My choice of art direction was an immediate decision to use the geometrics and industrial visuals of Constructivism. The perfect style that highlights direct subjects with impact and focuses on the engineering side of a rapidly changing world. The artwork isn’t intended to tell the story of evil or to permanently extinct technology. It asks us to consider “where the line sits between tech and being used by it”. The Harvester is not a monster, but a reflection of something we have collectively created and continue to feed.

Life Begins with Rhythm ❤️🎵🎶
Boom Baby, a cracking time indeed painting for the day with Great to be back with so many friendly faces, .illustration .bap .wtf_ feel the music flow through my veins and have so many come around for a little nosy 👀

The most depressing part, painting over another artist’s work. Even the fact I arrived here before the sun came up to ensure I got a spot, someone like me barely sleeping and waking up at 2am is something I can never get used to it. But all worth it today for such a fantastic experience and seeing everyone appreciate our work 🧱🎨

Listening to you guys asking for a piece music themed, the idea clicked in my head from simply listening to the radio and hearing the sounds for Michael Jacksons “Beat it”. The concept, “Our heartbeat is our first rhythm”. I always picture life as one big playlist. Every moment, every event, there is a song to enhance and capture the beauty and hold close like our memories. From the moment we are born, our heartbeat is our source of life and energy and the life it gives us is our individual rhythm 🎵🎶🎵🎶

The visual narrative captures a heart in the centre of a guitar to illustrate to the vision. Bringing it to life with the powerful psychology of colour. Smoothy evoking emotions in the directions of life experiences like the flow of sound. “Different Voices, One Rhythm, Ours”. Every colour represents a different emotion or culture, brought to the highest advancement with the strength of sound waves radiating outwards.

I’m happy to share my latest project for The Laurence Trust If you liked by Wellbeing/ Helpful Hints Zines, this should be another strong contender. Basing this on the themes of body dysmorphia “From Being Held Back to Moving Forward”. This little carousel Zine delivers the true and embracive visuals to living in darkness and taking the reader on a journey to a warmer and bright future. Stating the strong message “It’s Not Okay to Not Be Okay”, but with the right “SUPPORT YOU CAN BE OKAY”. Everyone should feel strong, loved and confident even in the most difficult struggles and challenges in life 💪 To not feel okay, it is never a feeling someone should have. They should have an action plan of guaranteed support and know where to go and the right decisions to make with no fear ☀️

To build this, the illustration performed with only one primary power source “Colour”🎨 The strategy which served as an emotional cue. Giving life to the tone flow, Fragmented → Confrontation → Connection → Recovery. Going from cold/ anxious visuals to then evolving into a warm/ grounded world. Combining this with researching and incorporating meaningful statements to express the illustrations and enhance the emotional deliverance.

What a smashing night last night was indeed, behold my fresh out of the studio skateboard for 🛹 🎨🌙🎵

Diving into my love for music and its abilities it has on my mental health alongside a whole population. The sound of music is one of the most powerful things to influence change. Going through life and the challenges we face, sometimes we can end up in a dark lonely place feeling there is no way out. Through the power of music, we can turn our lives into one big playlist and Rock N Roll our way to victory. Listening to your favourite songs or the right tunes at the right place and time, gives us the rhythm to love, treasure and appreciate the moments in life we have and the things that mean the most to us 🎧🎵🎶🎵🎶

This illustration visualises a powerful atmosphere and expresses how reunited together, experiencing the great moments fight back our demons and we can live in a world filled with the magic of Rock N Roll vibes. Emphasising colourful explosions and sonic waves, my goal focused on creating something as powerful and strong as possible the audience feel immediate impact from and embrace a world which we can all feel the rhythm to. Inspired by the colourful street art and graffiti around our beautiful Belfast 🙌

Skateboard Exhibition 3- LATE NIGHT ART

I am excited to be taking part in this upcoming exhibition. I have designed a killer skateboard which will be presented and open for selling. Around 40 artists have made such incredible commitment in designing their individual pieces and it is safe to say, we will have a range of amazing work that your jaw will hit the floor. Featuring live music by JBL_Davenport with his electrifying DJ skills and plenty of surprises to be seen, come on down and say hello to us 😎🎵🔥

What’s a business without a business card. Your identity, your instant connection and openly trustful impression. New and improved designs for The Laurence Trust Inspired by my animation outcomes, I aimed to provide a powerful visual illustration capable of delivering immediate expressive impact to the target audience 🎨 Keeping the voice of “Shining a Light on Eating Disorders” maintainable through physical material and highlighting the commitment to reaching out to those in need ☀️ Even the smallest of designs can lead to big impact, especially in a face-to-face meeting, offering a supportive service in it biggest impressionable elements. Proud of how these turned out, now let’s get the printers into action 🖨
