☀️🎪 Looking back on a fantastic summer in Lisburn!

Our Next Steps group had a brilliant day out at Wallace Park, enjoying an open-air community event organised by Streetwise Circus.

There were plenty of circus skills, tricks, laughter and lots of opportunities to get involved—and it’s safe to say everyone had a great time! 🤸‍♀️🎉

⚽🏆 Orchardville Inclusion Cup – Friday 11 September!

Get ready for a fantastic day of 7-a-side football, teamwork and inclusion at Lisburn Leisureplex 3G Pitch!

Our three Orchardville DFC teams from across our Community Sites will take on disability football clubs from other organisations in what promises to be an action-packed tournament.

Following the success of last year’s event, we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better day! 🙌

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Ards and North Down, Cllr Craig Blaney who joined in the fun and got right into the spirit of the day! 🙌👏

🎲DI&CE Training Workshop - September🎲

Booking now OPEN for our next DI&CE (Disability Inclusion & Community Engagement) training session in partnership with ROC Northern Ireland

Our workshops aim to introduce and equip churches, community groups and faith-based organisations in how to be more inclusive of those with learning disabilities, autism and neurodivergent conditions.

Join us for the next workshop
📆 Saturday 26th September
⏰ 10am - 1pm (lunch included)
📍 Glengormley Methodist Church Hall
💰FREE - there's no cost to attend, thanks to funding from the PEACEPLUS Changemakers Programme.
🎁Each organisation will receive a FREE TOOLKIT (such as fidget spinners, noise cancelling headphones, resources and lots more!) to use in their programmes
🗣️Ideal training for staff and volunteers or those curious about helping those with a learning disability in their groups.

Our Orchardville Works participants made the most of the beautiful weather with a walk around Clarawood Park, taking time to notice and identify the flowers and plants we often pass by without a second glance.

From white wild roses and buttercups to New Zealand flax and bird's-foot trefoil, we discovered so much along the way—and some of the flower names certainly had us laughing! 🌸🌿

It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature, learn something new and spend time together in the sunshine. 💙
