Notice - Our retail unit and workshop is now CLOSED until the 18th April.

In order to carry out essential maintenance in the shop, catch up with messages and phone calls. I am also hoping to complete the launch of the new website www.ksoy.co.uk

Unfortunately I simply cannot keep up with the amount of new enquiries, update enquiries and waiting list enquiries as well as run the retail unit and continue to finish restoration and repair bookings. I am unsure what the best way going forward is in regards to managing this huge volume but will continue to prioritise completing repairs in the workshop as financially this is the main income of the business and finances are very tight.

I do apologise if you have been waiting for a reply to any form of enquiry but I hope you can appreciate that I am a 'one man band' so to speak and I simply cannot keep up currently. I will endeavour to catch up over the next week 🤞 :-)

NOTICE - Following the closure of the shop and workshop during the Covid-19 Lockdown this is an update regarding the re-opening of our space at Battlesbridge Antiques Centre .

I'm glad to announce that we will be re-opening the first week of August 🎉. (Day to be confirmed). Sadly the normal running of the shop will not take place just yet and a strict social distancing protocol will be in place until further notice.

I can only apologise and hope you understand that my own precautionary measures to keep the shop closed until August and to stay at home is due to myself being at high risk due to pre-existing medical issues and two of my family members at home being at an even greater risk than myself. Unfortunately it is apparent that this is going to be a part of life for the foreseeable future and the show must go on 🎶 (safely)! I have missed my normal way of life terribly, I absolutely adore my job and the wonderful team of people that have worked tirelessly at Battlesbridge to keep the centre going, I'm looking forward to being back!

Customers awaiting completion of restoration work, there is obviously going to be severe delays, please bear with me :-)

New enquiries, please be aware that my waiting list is now drawing towards the end of 2021 and I have decided to temporarily suspend adding any more people to the waiting list until I get caught up a little. (Sincere Apologies, but I do hope you understand).

Please note - another apology... I have had an unprecedented amount of email and Facebook enquiries... I still have nearly 350 emails to get through... If you are still waiting, please be patient... I will get to your message :-)

Dear customers, past and present. This is Andrew from Kleister's Sounds of Yesteryear @ Battlesbridge. During this difficult time due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I wanted to pop out a message to keep everyone in the loop. All retail and workshop businesses at Battlesbridge closed at the beginning of this week and sadly there is not a current date set for re-opening. Those on the waiting list unfortunately and unavoidably will now experience drastically longer waits due to already being incredibly behind following my accident in August 2019. Those who have their precious equipment left with me can, rest assured their items are locked away, fully insured and Battlesbridge have extra security measures in place as well as the usual alarm systems and security protocols, during the lockdown and closure period. Following the government's press release yesterday regarding income loss grants for small business's and the self employed, due to be recieved in June... An uncertain time has become a little more stable. I have managed to secure credit for the time running up until June to keep the business above water and to cover rents and bills, this will be subsidised by the eagerly awaited government assistance to be recieved in June. Thank you all so much for your patience and hats off to the Managers of Battlesbridge for dealing with the pressing times so well. Wishing everyone well during this difficult time, stay safe. Just a message to all of my amazing customers past and those patient enough to be present 🤗... Just an update to say that things are on the mend (slowly but surely)... I am undergoing pretty intense physio treatment and may be returning for more scans and a potential procedure to correct 1 naughty ligament that doesn't seem to be playing ball, end of November. I'm down to one crutch so hobbling around well and should be driving again before Christmas, which means I should be back to work properly then also, but everything is very much uncertain annoyingly. Just wanted to pop out an update and thank you all so so much for your patience, I am eternally grateful! Thanks again guys!
