📦 Got a text about a missed delivery? Think before you click!

We've all been there. You're expecting a parcel, and suddenly a text arrives saying there's been a problem with your delivery.

Maybe you need to pay a small fee, update your address, or click a link to rearrange delivery.

But is it genuine? 🤔

Scammers regularly send messages pretending to be from well-known delivery companies, hoping you'll click before thinking.

A few things to remember:

✅ Don't click links in unexpected delivery messages.
✅ Check your parcel's progress directly through the retailer or delivery company's official website.
✅ Be suspicious of requests for small payments or personal information.
✅ Remember that scammers can make messages look very convincing!

If you've accidentally clicked a suspicious link or entered your details, don't ignore it. Acting quickly can help prevent further problems.

⚠️ That scam message might look more convincing than you think!

We've all seen suspicious emails and text messages. But scammers are getting increasingly clever.

Some messages may include your real name, details about where you've shopped or information that makes them appear genuine.

Remember:
🔹 Don't click unexpected links asking you to log in.
🔹 Never share one-time security codes.
🔹 If a message claims to be from your bank or a retailer, contact them using their official website or app.
🔹 Don't feel pressured into acting immediately.

And if you've clicked something suspicious, don't panic - but do act quickly.

💻 Still using Windows 10? You're not alone!

It's now been a year since Microsoft ended standard support for Windows 10, but plenty of computers are still running it.

The good news? That doesn't automatically mean you need to rush out and buy a new computer.

Depending on your machine, there may be several options:
✅ Upgrade to Windows 11 if it's compatible
✅ Check whether extended security updates are suitable
✅ Consider a replacement if your current computer is getting on a bit

Walk into that particular room? Apparently the internet hasn't been invented yet.

Wi-Fi problems around the home can be caused by all sorts of things - distance, thick walls, interference, where your router is positioned or simply the equipment you're using.

And buying another random Wi-Fi booster isn't necessarily the answer.

🌙 5 Minute Fix: Does your computer screen feel a bit harsh in the evening?

Windows has a built-in feature called Night Light, which gives your display a warmer colour temperature and reduces the blue light it emits.

Go to Settings → System → Display → Night light.

You can switch it on immediately or schedule it to come on automatically in the evening.

It won't magically make you stop scrolling at midnight... but it might make the screen a little more comfortable while you do. 😂

🔒 5 Minute Fix: Walking away from your computer?

Here's a keyboard shortcut worth remembering:

Windows key + L

That's it! Your computer immediately locks, and you'll need your PIN, password or Windows Hello to get back in.

It's particularly useful if you use your laptop somewhere other people are around - and much better than leaving your emails, documents and everything else sitting open.

Two keys. One useful little security habit.
