Customer contacted me and asked if I could take a look at this laptop. Unfortunately, the keyboard wasn't working properly after an encounter with one of the worst enemies of electronic devices...

🥤 **Coca-Cola!** 😱

After inspecting the laptop, I found that the customer was actually quite lucky 🍀. Thanks to the EliteBook's internal design, most of the liquid was prevented from reaching the motherboard, avoiding what could have been a much more expensive repair 💸⚠️.

🩺 MacBook Pro 16” A2141 (2019) – Logic Board Recovery Case 🍏🔧

Owner of this MacBook contacted me after the device refused to power on at all ⚠️💻

After initial diagnosis, I traced the issue to the motherboard and found a short circuit on the main fuse 🔥❌

Diagnosis & Findings:
Main fuse on logic board shorted / failed ⚠️
Initial repair required logic board replacement 🧠🔧

However… after deeper inspection, more issues appeared 😅
Due to the original short circuit, additional components were also affected.

Repairs performed:
Replaced logic board 💻🔧
Replaced internal cooling fans 🌬️
Replaced keyboard backlight system 💡⌨️
Replaced lid angle / sleep sensor 📟
Result:

After full rebuild and component replacement, the MacBook was brought back to life 💪🍏

Old “dead” device is now:

Fully functional ✅
Stable ⚡
Ready for daily use again 💻✨

🩺 Conclusion:
Even when a MacBook looks completely dead, sometimes it only takes the right diagnosis and full system recovery to bring it back to life 🔧💚

🩺 Personal PC Upgrade Log – DDR5 Transition & Performance Boost 🔧💻🔥

As I mentioned in the previous post… something big was coming 😄

I’ve upgraded my own PC again 😉

I spent a lot of time thinking whether to do it or not, because my setup was already very high-spec, but… I never stay still when it comes to upgrades 😏💻

What I changed:

Previously I was running:

MSI PRO B760-P DDR4 motherboard 🧠
64GB DDR4 (4x16) 3200MHz 💾

Technically a strong build, but I reached the platform limitation point ⚠️

No real CPU overclocking headroom
RAM tuning restrictions
DDR4 platform slowly reaching end-of-life 📉
Big decision:

I originally planned to stay on DDR4 with a Z790 board…
but due to market availability and DDR4 being basically phased out, it became almost impossible to get a proper board 😅

So I made the jump:

➡️ MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI (DDR5) 🧠⚡

Now I can finally use the full potential of my i5-14600KF (unlocked) 🔥

Memory upgrade:

Due to current RAM pricing situation 💸:

48GB DDR5 (2x24GB)
KLEVV CRAS V RGB 6000MT/s 🌈💾

Not max capacity like before, but faster, newer, and more efficient 💪

Additional improvements:
Bottom and side fans replaced with reverse airflow versions 🌪️✨
→ cleaner look and better airflow direction
Replaced power cables with EZDIY-FAB ARGB extension cables ⚡🌈
→ matches the liquid cooler tubing for a much cleaner aesthetic build
Final result:
More performance headroom 🚀
Better platform stability 🧠
Cleaner visual build 🌈
Fully unlocked CPU potential 🔓💻

Another successful upgrade… and I’m already thinking what’s next 😏🔧

🩺 PC Diagnostic & Rebuild Report – When Things Go Wrong 🔧💻⚠️

This time I had a quite unusual case 😅

The PC was handed over to me by another computer service company during their busy period. The system itself was originally built by a different shop in Milton Keynes around 2 years ago.

The issue reported:
➡️ PC was restarting every ~5 minutes 🔄⚠️

Initial Diagnosis:

First suspicion — power supply 🔌

After full testing, this was confirmed:

PG value: 120ms (very close to lower limit of 100ms ❌)

So yes — PSU was already a problem ⚡

Further Inspection Findings:

During diagnostics, I discovered several serious issues with the build:

❌ Incorrect motherboard choice
CPU: i7-14700KF ⚡
Motherboard: B760 chipset
→ Not suitable for this CPU due to power delivery limitations
⚠️ Power supply (850W GameMax)
On paper: enough
Reality: budget PSU not ideal for high-end CPU
⚠️ Damaged front panel I/O connector (see photo)
Recommended Solution:

I advised:
✔️ Replace motherboard
✔️ Replace power supply

After approval from the owner (via the company), I proceeded with the repair 🔧

Work Performed:
Full internal cleaning 🧹💨 (fans, GPU, case)
Replaced motherboard & PSU
Rebuilt system properly

💡 During reassembly, another issue appeared:

➡️ AIO cooler didn’t fit anymore 😅

Reason:

Previous build used 280mm radiator
Old motherboard: mATX
New motherboard: ATX → less space

✔️ Solution: Replaced with correct 240mm Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 💧❄️

Additional Fixes & Improvements:
Added GPU support bracket 🖥️💪 (was included in the box but never installed ❌)
Improved cable management 🔌✨ (limited by case space)

Build Issues Found (Summary):
Mixed fan brands (Arctic / Antec / Thermalright) 🎨❌
Missing anti-vibration fan rubbers ⚠️
No GPU support bracket ❌
Non-original fan hub installed ⚠️
Poor cable management 🔌
Incorrect component pairing ❌

New Parts Installed:
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI DDR5 🧠
PSU: Lian Li SX Platinum 1000W ATX 3.1 ⚡

Now the system is properly matched to the i7 14th Gen CPU and ready for stable performance 💪💻

Final Result:
Stable system ✅
Proper power delivery ⚡
Improved airflow & structure 🌬️
Ready for future use 🔧

Final Note 💡

Not all shops care about quality
Don’t trust flashy ratings blindly ⭐
Always double-check who you let touch your PC

Some PCs aren’t broken by bad luck — they’re broken by poor choices and lazy builds 😏

🩺 PC Rebuild Report – From Diesel Engine to RGB Beast 🔧💻🔥

Patient: Custom PC
Symptoms:

CPU fan sounding like a diesel engine 🚜😅
Case fans with “mysterious colours” 🎨⚠️

Customer contacted me with a video, and from what I saw — diagnosis was already forming 🧠💡
After a quick discussion, the PC was delivered for a full checkup 🛠️

Diagnosis:
Faulty CPU fan bearing ❌ (the “diesel mode” confirmed 😆)
Case fans were standard LED, not RGB/ARGB — so colours were doing whatever they wanted 🤣
Procedure performed:
Full internal cleaning 🧹💨 before transplant
Transferred all components (motherboard, GPU, drives, PSU) to a new case 🏠✨
Upgraded cooling from air to AIO water cooling 💧❄️ (future-proof 💪)
Installed proper ARGB fans 🌈✨

💡 During checkup, I also found:

RAM heatsinks were loose/misaligned ⚠️
→ carefully corrected using a hot air gun 🔥 (don’t try this at home 😅)
Upgrades & extras:
Added 2 more RAM sticks → now 32GB DDR4 🧠💨
Installed GPU support bracket 🖥️💪 (small bonus from me 😉)
Final setup:
Case: AeroCool Skribble 🏰
Fans: 4× AeroCool Duo 12 ARGB 🌈
CPU Cooling: AeroCool Oasis L240 ARGB 💧❄️

Post-op results:
No more diesel sounds 🚜❌
Proper airflow 🌬️
Full RGB control 🌈
Clean, powerful, and ready for future upgrades ⚡💻

🩺 Laptop Surgery Report – Asus R556LB 🔧💻

Patient: Slow and tired Asus R556LB 😅💤
Symptoms: Lagging, sluggish performance, originally running Windows 10 ⚠️

Procedure:

Full internal cleaning 🧹✨ (dust removed, fans & radiators cleared) 🌬️
CPU thermal paste replaced with Thermal Grizzly ❄️🔥
RAM upgrade: added 8GB to reach 12GB max supported 🧠💪
HDD replaced with SSD 💾⚡
System upgraded from Windows 10 → Windows 11, including all driver updates 💻✅

Special notes: During inspection, I discovered that one of the RAM sticks was faulty 😱 — luckily the laptop also has soldered RAM on the motherboard, so the user didn’t notice the problem. Without this fix, Windows 11 would have run unstable or refused to boot properly. Now everything is fully functional ✅

Outcome: Smooth, fast, healthy laptop, ready for more years of service 🎮💨
Customer: Extremely happy 😄🎉

That wasn’t long to wait since I built this PC in November last year, and the first upgrade is already done! 😄✨ Another 16GB of RAM has been added to the empty slots, so now the PC rocks a total of 32GB DDR5 — more than enough for smooth gaming on new titles 🎮💨💻

Happy customer again, and I’m sure they’ll be back for more upgrades soon 😏🔧💥
