‼️‼️Customer spreading false information around Facebook‼️‼️
————————————
We have decided to write this post to clear the air and give everyone the facts around what happened with this customer and the false information they have been spreading.
1. On the 25th October 2022 at 12:30pm Mr Wilson came to the shop to collect a tablet which he claimed he had left at our store several weeks ago with a ‘white Lad’ who didn’t provide him with any receipt. When we asked him to confirm the date he wasn’t aware other than it was a Sunday. We looked it up on our system to find nothing and we asked him for the make and model which he also didn’t know but he just knew we had his tablet.
2. We weren’t able to locate his device on our system which keeps track of all our repairs and so we had to investigate it further to find out what happened here but this man just became verbally abusive towards the staff present that day and wanted his tablet immediately without having no proof of dropping the repair in, no date of when he brought it in so we could check cctv and no idea what model device he had. All of this was witnessed by the sites security staff present at the time who were told several times he brought this tablet in for repair, later this event changed to his daughter bringing it in for him.
3. If this man’s abuse wasn’t enough his daughter decided to proceed onto Facebook to get together her friends and family and started to spread the false information claiming we stole her device when they didn’t have a receipt, a date when they came or the make and model of the device yet wanted us to produce it immediately for them. They started posting in various groups, on our posts and started private messaging us also with abusive language.
4. Police got involved and was given access to all the information we had including cctv footage, backend data which cannot be altered to show no such device was brought into store. Also kept the voice and video footage of Mr Wilson who abused our staff the first time he came into store.
5. The employees in store even after listening to all the abuse and threats made by Mr Wilson assured him we would find a replacement if he could in fact provide us with any proof he left the tablet with us. At this point Ben the ex employee was contacted. Ben claimed to us that he couldn’t remember taking in any tablet but was adamant that if the device was brought to the store he would have booked it into the system which we can prove 100% wasn’t booked in as we cannot alter the records once recorded.
6. The false information posted by Lucia Wilson have all been screenshoted and recorded by us as they have now decided to take the posts down and get their band wagon friends to remove their individual comments on our page also.
The police had to be involved due to the abuse hurled at our staff and this attempted campaign of misinformation spread over Facebook when they had no receipt, no date of dropping it off, couldn’t make their mind up as to who dropped it off for repair and what device it actually was.
We have been around for 17 years and have repaired 1000s of devices and have a very accurate system of recording repairs in and out and always issue receipts. We have no interest in keeping a broken tablet when we have 100s of better and working devices instock all the time.
We tried our best to resolve this in a nice manner but the Wilson’s thought by spreading false information they would somehow be able to force us into giving them a tablet of their choice at their convenience which isn’t what’s going to happen and we are going to let the police decide and will give them all the Facebook messages and posts they put up calling us out as thieves which we won’t stand for. We have given the Police access to all this information and the cctv footage of Mr Wilson’s behaviour in store also and look forward to the outcome.
Hope this clarifies it for anyone who may have come across the false information posted by Lucia Wilson in several local pages.
