C.Scope Metal Detectors

14/10/2026

We are just back from our recent visit to Detecnicks in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, UK. We had a good catch up with with owners Luke and Tasha, oh and not forgetting Zola the labrador, who updated us on all things 'Detecnicks'.

C.Scope have been dealing with Detecnicks since they first opened in 1996 and have enjoyed a good relationship with them ever since.

Detecnicks have a large showroom where all the major Metal Detector brands are on display so you can actually see them before you buy. Luke and Tasha are always on hand to answer any questions you have either before or after you make that all important detector purchase.

You can call Detecnicks on +44 (0)1243 545060, email at [email protected]
or online at https://www.detecnicks.co.uk/C.Scope_Metal_Detectors.html where you'll see some great offers on C.Scope Metal Detectors.

An interesting story regarding a find from the Rodney Cook Memorial Rally, before you ask, it's not the same Nick Berry who was in "Heartbeat" !

Nick Berry dug up a rare 1,000-year-old Anglo-Saxon golden pendant on farmland in the village of Ashmansworth, a few miles from Highclere Castle in Hampshire

Nostalgia Friday !

Who had one of these back in the day ? A 'Metal Detector License' every detectorist then was required to purchase this license to allow them to legally detect, although there's no mention of where !. This license, with a lot of help from C.Scope's MD, Martin Fry, was quietly dropped in the early 1980's . It's fair to say that the UK has some of the best Metal Detecting regulations on the world, long may it stay that way.

Have a great weekend and Happy Hunting
