📱🔥 iPhone 12 Pro Max – Why That “Cosmetic” Crack Matters 🔥📱

This iPhone 12 Pro Max came to us with a few serious issues:
🔁 Constant restarting
🌡️ Overheating
🔋 Poor battery life

As soon as we removed the cover, the problem was obvious:
👉 The LCD was pushed out of the frame because the battery had swollen!
👉 On closer inspection, we found tiny shards from the cracked back glass had made their way inside the phone and partially pierced the battery — causing permanent damage.

⚠️ A cracked back glass might look like “just a cosmetic issue,” but in reality:

🚨 This iPhone took a bullet and saved a life! 💥
..Luckily it was just an airsoft one 😂

This guy came in with his iPhone 13 Pro Max after an airsoft game. One well-aimed BB straight to the screen and… perfect hole in the middle of the display.
Thankfully no serious injuries (except to the phone 😅), and we already brought it back to life — screen replaced and looking brand new again.

When an asphalt paver has a harder time than your iPhone. 😂

So, a customer brought me a dashboard PCB from an asphalt paver (yes, that big machine that makes our roads). Water damage + corrosion = dead buttons. But wait, it gets better. Someone already tried to "fix" it before me. Scratched board, ripped pads, and enough flux to fry an egg. 🍳

I said "no thanks" at first. Then I saw the look in his eyes. That machine costs £150k+ and it's dead because of a tiny PCB. A new board? Thousands. 💸

Fine. I cleaned the mess, rebuilt missing pads, ran micro jumpers, swapped buttons & LEDs.

Verdict: The paver is back on the road. Sorry about the potholes lately – our repair queue was full. 😇

📱 So here's the deal:
If you've got a Vögele Super 1800 casually parked outside your garage because of a damaged PCB – yeah, unlikely, I know – but if you do… drop me a message. I'm your guy. 😄

Is your iPhone back glass broken?
Don’t fix it… ❌
Well… not if you’re planning to replace it with cheap copy glass 😅

I’ll be honest with you — we’re currently witnessing a bit of a “cracked back glass apocalypse” on iPhones.
And there’s a reason for it…

👉 Most repair shops use cheap copy glass or copy housing + glass
Both options are usually just a waste of your money.

Why?

Because your original glass is glued on very strong from factory.
And most importantly — you simply can’t buy original-quality glass on its own (long story, won’t go into that now 😅)

So when someone does a “glass-only repair”, they have to:

– heat the phone up A LOT 🔥
– soften the glue
– and then remove your broken glass piece by piece

This process can go up to very high temperatures, and during that process…
👉 internal components can get damaged
👉 flex cables can weaken
👉 it’s just a bit of a mess, to be honest

Yes — it’s cheaper.
But there’s a reason for that.

And the new glass they put on?
Costs them a couple of pounds… and the durability is nowhere near original.

👉 Real talk:
Your cracked original glass is much stronger than a brand new cheap copy 😬

Pay cheap, pay twice (or three times 😅)

iPhone 13 mini that came to us for a back glass replacement.
The previous repair used a non-genuine back glass and frame. The owner had no idea. The glass was simply falling off the frame by itself.
This never happens with an original Apple back glass. Even when the original glass is badly cracked, it creates the typical “spider web” pattern, but the glass stays firmly attached to the frame.
We repaired the phone by replacing the entire housing with a 100% genuine Apple back glass and frame.

📱This iPad came in after a previous screen replacement done elsewhere… and honestly, the quality was terrible 😬

The screen was already separating from the frame, letting dust and dirt get inside — which then settled on the LCD under the glass 😩 Not what you want on a device you use every day.

👉 Moral of the story: fix it once, fix it properly.
