I’ve tabled a motion in Parliament calling on the Treasury to introduce a 10% hospitality VAT pilot for Northern Ireland.

Our pubs, restaurants and cafes are vitally important to our high streets and towns, and they employ thousands of local people. But right now, they are facing massive pressures from rising running costs, and the Government needs to act.

Cutting VAT to 10% would give our local businesses some much-needed financial breathing space, protect local jobs and help grow the economy.
