Halstan have just produced this stunning limited edition full facsimile score of Holst: The Planets published by Faber Music Publications - printed in colour for the first time.

It was great to be involved in this project- not least because Halstan also printed the original edition back in 1979!

Delighted to announce that Halstan has become a Carbon Balanced Printer in association with the World Land Trust. This scheme offsets any residual carbon emissions created during manufacturing by allowing the World Land Trust to invest in and protect threatened rainforest habitats.

✅ 193 tonnes of CO2 offset
✅ 36,863 square meters of tropical habitat protected.

On Tuesday 6 June, Halstan will be opening its doors to book publishers, as part of the BPIF & HP 'summer roadshow'. This is a series of events designed to allow publishers to visit some of the UK's best book printers and is an opportunity for publishers to see the latest technological advances in book production and to grow their knowledge about what is now possible in the UK book production market.

We're very excited to be hosting the first event in this series. The day will include:

✅ A factory tour showing the latest manufacturing techniques including our award-winning short-run thread sewn book offering;

✅ A discussion of modern book production and busting some of the myths that still exist in print buying today;

✅ Models of print production - distributed print (which Halstan can facilitate in the UK, US and Germany), POD and auto-stock replenishment models;

Through 5-7 April, Halstan will be exhibiting at The London Book Fair and will be showing off all of our new products and services, in particular our short-run thread-sewn book offering.

Find us at location 6E70 as part of the Independent Publishers Guild‘s stand.So much has changed since the last time the Book Fair took place and we’re so excited to be able to meet again face-to-face, and to establish if your requirement fits our product and service offering. If you are going, please do pop by and see us, or if you would like to book an appointment in advance please let us know.

If you have a requirement to destock (by printing less more often), or you want the durability and the lay-flat properties that thread-sewing offers, then we would love to hear from you.
