You can stop your account being cloned by setting your account so only your friends can see your friends. If a scammer can't see your friends he can't send fake friends requests. Do this from Settings / Privacy

We are seeing more and more Office 365 accounts hacked. If you are an office 365 user then setup multi Authentication. This will keep your email and data safe. If you don't know how to do this, please get in touch and we'll help.
