Title: Internet Speed Test: WiFi vs RJ45 Cat8 Ethernet
"I recently conducted a comprehensive internet speed test to analyze the performance disparities between my WiFi connection and an RJ45 Cat8 Ethernet cable on my broadband network, following an initial evaluation with a Cat6 cable that yielded speeds below 100 Gbps. The objective was to assess the throughput, latency, and overall stability of each connection method across varying conditions.
Results showed that my Windows 11 desktop server achieved 307 Mbps download and 391 Mbps upload speeds via WiFi, while my MacBook Pro M3 reached 326 Mbps download and 393 Mbps upload speeds under similar conditions. Switching to an RJ45 Cat8 Ethernet cable, the Windows 11 desktop server achieved higher speeds with 410 Mbps download and 262 Mbps upload, compared to 413 Mbps download and 462 Mbps upload speeds recorded."
