Repair days changing

With me starting my new job in next week, I will be primarily doing repairs now on the weekend, I will still be available to speak through the week but this will be later on, for this we have AI doing most chats and to answer most general questions, if it is for quotes it will pass you on to myself.

Please note this is still learning and I'm still training it also.

I will be updating my booking site and all prices on my website so you can browse and book and pay directly there, as some parts may be needing to order, the cut off would be Wednesday to allow enough time for parts to arrive for the weekend.

🔋 Another bloated battery 🔋

This iPhone 13 Mini came into us with the screen being pressed away from the frame, when we took the screen off we found the battery was bloated.

It was replaced a year ago and this is typical of cheaper parts, to this as well the screen was previously replaced with a LCD screen that is designed to use OLED screens.

This iPhone 15 was feeling very poorly.

Like most device everything has wear on it, in this case the battery bloated to the point the back glass had cracked and the device completely died with 80% charge.

This phone got a brand new original back glass, new rear adhesive and a new battery to get the phone back working once again, to top it off, they have a 1 year warranty also!

That's another year done meeting other techs and potential suppliers at TechMax in Sheffield.

It's always great to see other like minded people to learn and share experience with repairs!

We saw a couple of potential new suppliers for pc repairs so hopefully will make repairs faster and easier for both us and you.

This laptop arrived with us with no power and a suspected charging port issue.

We found the charging port was so worn, it physically could not hold ther charger anymore.

We quoted and fixed the issue, while repairing as most of you know we always give your laptop a full clean internally, this gives you extra piece of mind that your laptop is in top working order, as you can see the exhaust fan was 90% blocked which would cause overheating but since then we have cleared this out.

After which we give the device a test to make sure you dont have any issues on handover. We also found Windows was also corrupted and refused to boot or repair, so we had to reinstall Windows 11 also.

Remember, we repair but can also do preventive maintenance to your device, for example did you know that your cooler can become blocked in the space of a year and limiting your devices lifespan?

Today we had in a Samsung S22 in as it has a bloated battery to the point the back glass was being pushed off.

We replaced it with a new Samsung battery, seal and gave it new screws too.

This phone is now back in working and safe order.

Please note bloated batteries are not to be messed with as they are at higher risk of puncture or blowing up.

A recent 14 Pro housing replacement!

Some models can have the glass replaced but in others the glass and frame are solid in one unit, this is where the whole frame needs a replacement.

You could go to another place where they would replace the glass (this is a lengthy process, using poor quality and non genuine parts), we use Apple original pulled parts which excell in quality, you get a long lasting repair!

SPUD MAN IS IN TOWN!!!

I decided to give Spud Man a go since he and his crew is in Aberdeen.

I can honestly say what a great jacket!

My combo was chilli con carni, cheese and coleslaw, what a combo!

Why not give him a go, he's here for a few more days I believe, the queues werent that bad, I waited for around 20 mins which is nae bad at all.
