Let's wish Paul Booth a happy retirement!

Paul joined us in 2020 as an Account Manager to help build a worldwide network of sales and service companies to support our global ambitions. Prior to that Paul had a long career at SGN (Scottish Gas Network) and also worked with Subsea 7. We have kept him rather busy over the last 12 months too, overseeing a fabulous full refurbishment of our Aberdeen HQ.

Barry Booth , CEO and Paul's son said "I want to thank my dad for all his hard work with both Seall and also Intellicore. Enjoy your retirement, I'll continue to lean on you for guidance but after a lifetime of graft you deserve every second of your retirement".

Having recently turned 60, we'd all like to wish Paul a happy retirement with Hazel and thank him for all of his hard work. Best wishes from us all.

Our Technical Director and CEO, Des Neill and our Product Lead, Laura Neill recently flew to OneWeb's HQ in London.

Over the last three years One Web have launched a network of 618 low Earth orbit satellites which are designed to operate at an altitude of 1,200 kilometres.

But how does this impact the marine industry?

This constellation of satellites has the power to provide high-speed internet connectivity to ships and offshore platforms even in the most remote areas of the world. This connectivity means real-time monitoring and navigation capabilities as well as benefits to crew welfare and communication.

We were delighted to visit and see their operations in action. Thanks for having us One Web!

In order to successfully plan your voyage, there are two things you must be aware of:

1. A clear understanding of the vessel’s capabilities and limitations.

2. Knowing the requirements and constraints of the voyage.

Once you have this, you can use this information to identify an optimal route, taking into account factors such as weather, tides, and vessel speed.
