We got these criminals banged up - 1am alert that all was not good at Marmalade Barn - 999 to alert police potential robbery in progress. drove to barn and located suspect van in the lane.. in summary their van was seized hopefully to be crushed- and 2 unsavoury men who now can’t rob anyone else - our speed, detective skills and security measures have got these men heading for the courts and probably saved a few people from having a miserable Easter…. Having our own van stolen 2 weeks ago feeling pleased that our CTV and additional filming of them had given the police all they need to put these foreign criminals away….

Ground source heat - did you know that 1.3 metres below ground level the temperature is 12 degrees centigrade- this will be the source of our heating to Marmalade Barn. No mean feat installing this method!

So proud of this little gem - a lovely bolt hole in a fabulous location, spent around 6 weekends and 8 days over Christmas and NewYear getting her to the standard we wanted to offer. Many late nights and over 50 hours travelling. On our final weekend 12th Feb 2022 we got our first booking, to be in the middle of renovating to receive the notification is exhilarating. Looking forward to our first season - now we can sit back and relax on this one. On to the next!

Transformation of this Victorian lounge over Christmas- wasn’t sure whether to keep the fire place white but slate grey won in the end. Vintage light bulbs add to the beauty of this place with its high ceilings. Love it, Love Dartmouth!

Just making a start sorting the frontage for kerb appeal - we shall be working over Christmas and New Year to get her ready for her first season. Hot tub arrives for the courtyard in time for the New Year - so we can relax after a good day’s work.

Already we have had numerous trades in doing their bit. Had to pop back yesterday evening (4hr drive for us) to receive our amazing Cocoon Sofa bed - delivery at 6.30am this morning!
