Precision Through Perception: The Role of a Robust Sensor Set in Driverless Technology 🤖

At EasyMile, our autonomous systems rely on a carefully engineered sensor set — the foundation for safe, reliable, and intelligent navigation in dynamic industrial environments.

Each sensor technology contributes unique strengths:

🌐 Lidar – provides high-resolution 3D mapping and precise distance measurement for localization and obstacle detection.
🖲️ Radar – ensures robust object detection and velocity estimation, maintaining performance even in rain, fog, or dust.
📹 Cameras – deliver rich visual context for classification, tracking, and situational awareness.

Through advanced sensor fusion, these complementary inputs enable our vehicles — like the EZTow — to perceive the world with accuracy, adapt to complex surroundings, and make informed, real-time decisions.

Driving autonomy forward starts with seeing the world clearly.

At , we engineer autonomous technology that performs dependably — even in rain, fog, or low visibility.

Our harsh-weather capability is built on three core pillars:

🔷 Perception: Advanced sensor fusion ensures precise detection despite rain or reflections.

🔷 Intelligence: Adaptive algorithms dynamically adjust driving behavior to weather conditions.

🔷 Robustness: Vehicle systems and materials are designed for consistent performance in all environments.

Reliability in the rain isn’t optional — it’s essential. That’s why our technology keeps operations safe and seamless, whatever the forecast.

[Powered by ] Following a successful showing at the 2025 International GSE Expo in Las Vegas, TractEasy is sharing more around the now-serial-ready EZDolly 🤖

Designed to operate autonomously in both indoor and outdoor environments with no human supervision, the EZDolly supports payloads up to 7 metric tonnes, handling both lower- and upper-deck ULDs. It eliminates the driver station entirely, optimizing space and enabling 24/7 logistics continuity. 📦

The EZDolly is positioned to serve airports and logistics sites seeking to increase safety, reduce operational overhead, and enable scalable automation. 📈

🖥️ Why simulation is central to advancing autonomous driving

At EasyMile, safety is never left to chance. That’s why simulation is at the heart of our development process.

Before an autonomous vehicle ever moves in the real world, it’s challenged in a virtual one:

🌦️ Tested in thousands of weather, traffic, and site conditions
⚠️ Exposed to rare or risky scenarios impossible to replicate easily in real life
🚀 Accelerated development cycles by learning faster, safer, and smarter

Simulation enables us to validate, stress-test, and refine our autonomous driving technology — ensuring safer, more robust operations once our vehicles are deployed in airports, factories, and logistics centers worldwide.

With tools like these, every mile in simulation brings us closer to safer miles on the ground.

🌏 Asia and Middle East: Towing in High-Density Airport Operations

In Asia and the Middle East, autonomous towing is already active in live airport environments, tackling some of the most demanding baggage and cargo workflows.

🇯🇵 Japan: Autonomous baggage transfers between terminals and satellites with only remote supervision, requiring no infrastructure changes even in congested ramp areas.

🇸🇬 Singapore: A fleet of EZTow units equipped with our towing multiple ULDs at up to 15 km/h, integrating with live airport traffic and supporting efficient ground operations.

🇦🇪 UAE: Six autonomous tractors deployed in day-to-day baggage handling, paving the way for Level 4 operations and helping define new regulatory standards for mega-airports.

These sites demonstrate how automation supports safer, more consistent towing cycles while allowing staff to focus on time-critical, value-added work.

🚀 Navigating complex environments with driverless technology ✈️🤖

Operating autonomous tow tractors in airports is no small challenge. These dynamic environments demand cutting-edge solutions to ensure safety and efficiency. Key hurdles include:

🔄 Dynamic traffic: Aircraft, service vehicles, and pedestrians constantly on the move.
🛠️ Infrastructure complexity: Vast layouts, diverse terrains, and ever-changing conditions.
🧳 Obstacle avoidance: From baggage carts to parked aircraft, precision is non-negotiable.
📍 Precise positioning: Accurate localization is essential for seamless operations.

The EZTow, powered by EasyMile’s driverless technology, rises to these challenges—bringing safety, reliability, and efficiency to airport ground operations.

Across Europe, our is driving the autonomous EZTow in some of the most demanding industrial environments. These deployments focus on high-capacity, mixed-traffic operations, often spanning both indoor and outdoor routes.

🏭 At a major automotive parts manufacturer, EZTow units tow tandem loads over 16 m in length on a multi-station route that navigates between production areas, storage zones, and loading docks. The system handles both heavy compact containers and bulkier parts, integrating seamlessly with existing production flows.

🏭 In another European manufacturing site, EZTow covers a 2.5 km loop across three shifts daily, transporting up to 14t of materials in varried weather conditions. Its centimeter-level localization and wide-area obstacle detection allow safe operation even in busy mixed-traffic yards.

These sites demonstrate how autonomous towing can:

🔹 Replace multiple manual tug movements with consistent, repeatable routes.
🔹 Operate reliably in varied environments, from long-distance outdoor hauls to high-density production zones.
🔹 Integrate with facility logistics systems for coordinated, on-demand dispatching.

Autonomous baggage towing is now operational at Dubai World Central (DWC) with our

In collaboration with dnata, Dubai Airports, and the UAE GCAA, six electric EZTow autonomous baggage tractors are in live ramp operations. This marks one of the first commercial-scale implementations of autonomous GSE in a major international airport.

✅ Tows up to 4 ULDs
✅ Operates at 15 km/h in mixed traffic
✅ Navigates pre-defined routes with precision
✅ Reduces dependency on manual driving, reallocating staff to higher-value tasks

As airports across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and North America assess next-generation airside operations, the DWC deployment provides a practical reference for integrating autonomous towing solutions at scale.
