This Greco BM900, a late-70s Japanese unofficial Red Special replica, is finally going under the knife. The tremolo and bridge make it basically impossible to stay in tune, but when it does hold pitch... it sounds absolutely fantastic!

I already sorted the wiring. For some reason all three pickups were wired in parallel instead of series...

Funny story, years before drolo was even a thing, I was on a business trip in Poland and ended up in a restaurant sitting back to back with Brian May who was having dinner with two friends. I wanted so badly to say something, but I just couldn't bring myself to interrupt his evening. Still think about that one.

BM has always been a huge influence on me, and lately I've been deep in his music again while researching this project. Every time I come across him talking about spending hundreds of hours building the Red Special with his dad, I get genuinely moved. It keeps making me want to build more things with my own son.

Had to take an unexpected trip to Portugal and needed to postpone the Stretch Weavers restock planned for this week, in Europe at least. The restock at .nyc in the US went through as planned. I'll be back next week and will communicate the new date then.
