Mesanovic M97 EQ is a 7 band inductor based graphic equalizer demo video on Electric Guitar (clean & Dirty), Acoustic Guitar and Drums.
The EQ does have a pleasing affect on transients especially when pushed with hotter input levels. The smaller steel core output transformer plays a role in this, however, the unit can still handle quite a bit of level: +20 dBu @ 20Hz 1% THD+N
The frequency points are the same as the Quad Eight 712. Overall, the unit is similar to the Quad Eight (swinging input topology), but the transformers, inductors, and op amp are Mesanovic's design. High/low shelves are also added. The original Quad Eight splits the 7 bands between two op amps, but in the MQ712 all the bands are tied to one op amp like the Sphere 900 EQ of the same era ...
