𝗜𝘀 𝗔𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲?

"Artificial intelligence… it's not for me."

Many people say this. Sometimes it even becomes: "I'm past a certain age… AI isn't for my generation anymore."

And yet, paradoxically, we may never have had a technology so easy to approach. For decades, using a computer meant learning commands, menus, interfaces. With conversational AI, something changes fundamentally: you can simply talk to it.

But the real divide of tomorrow may not be between young people and seniors. It could be between those who learned to use AI with discernment… and those who decided, before even trying, that it wasn't made for them.

Understanding doesn't mean approving. Understanding doesn't mean using everything. Understanding allows you to choose.

If you know someone who still says "AI isn't for me", share this video with them. Not to convince them. Simply to make them want to understand before refusing.

You don’t need to be a tech expert. Start small: ask a question, check the answer, and keep your own judgment.

Experience isn’t made obsolete by AI. It may actually be one of our best safeguards.

Understand to choose. Don’t just follow.

When AI makes a mistake, it all depends on what we allowed it to do. 🤖

A chatbot gives a wrong answer: we correct it.
An AI agent takes a wrong action: the consequences can be very real.

The more we delegate, the more one question becomes essential: who remains in control?

Our societies see what we do far better than what we carry.

Two people arrive at work at nine o'clock. They sit side by side. They perform the same tasks. But they haven't travelled the same distance to reach that chair. One simply crossed the city. The other may have crossed an entire night of worry.

We sometimes confuse where someone stands with the road they had to travel to get there.

Who listens to the one who listens to everyone?
Who reassures the one who reassures everyone?
Who asks the pillar if they too are tired of holding up the roof?

So next time someone tells you "I'm fine", perhaps you could really look at them and say gently: "No… I mean: how are you, really?"

"It wasn't me — it was my AI agent."

This sentence could become far more common than we think.

Tomorrow, our AI agents may handle administrative tasks, compare contracts, reply to certain messages, and make purchases. But when one of them makes a mistake — sends information to the wrong person, accepts a bad option, performs an action we would never have approved — can we simply blame the machine?

In the new episode of Décryptage stratégique IA (in French), I explain why delegation does not mean giving up all responsibility, and why we will need to learn a new kind of digital delegation.

Some encounters don't follow our schedule — they reshape our entire path.

We wish the great encounters in our lives would make an appointment. Arrive when we're ready, when our past is behind us, when our future is finally clear. But life doesn't work that way.

True encounters don't fill a space — they create one. They reveal an inner room we didn't know existed.

Not all encounters become destinations. Some are merely passages. But a passage can change a direction.

So let us stop asking "Why now?" and start asking: "What is this encounter calling me to become?"

This is how we move… from me… to us.

I just published an article a bit different from what I usually write.
After La Justesse du Silence came out, something remained with me. A dissatisfaction I couldn't quite name. I ended up writing another novel, Ce que l'on quitte — not to correct the first one, but to understand what had escaped me.
The article tells that path — and what it taught me about the distance a writer must find between what life gives and what he does with it.
This isn't a promotional piece. It's an honest way of saying: here is where I stand with writing today, and why I don't want to erase the first book.

A chatbot that makes a mistake produces an incorrect answer. An agent that makes a mistake produces an incorrect action. And the consequences are not the same.

Artificial intelligence is crossing a new frontier: it no longer merely answers our questions. It uses tools, accesses data, writes code, chains actions together. It acts.

And as soon as a system acts, one question becomes more important than its performance: are we still able to control what it does?

In this back-to-school episode of Décryptage stratégique IA, I explore this question far from science-fiction scenarios:

– why every new capability of an agent implies a new permission, and every permission a new risk surface;
– the principle of least privilege applied to AI agents;
– the fundamental tension between efficiency (which requires autonomy) and security (which requires control);
– the limits of "human in the loop" when an agent performs hundreds of actions per day;
– traceability, auditing, and the ability to interrupt;
– and the sovereignty issue: whoever controls the agent controls the intermediary between our intention and digital action.

My answer: yes, we can still control AI agents. On one essential condition: never confuse autonomy with the absence of rules.

We often wait for the right conditions before we begin.

The right moment.
The right budget.
The right team.
Stability.
Fewer constraints.
Greater peace of mind.

In business, as in life, that perfectly favourable moment rarely comes.

Most of the time, we move forward in the midst of uncertainty.

A project begins before every answer is known.
A team takes shape while each person brings their own story, strengths and vulnerabilities.
A decision sometimes has to be made before every difficulty has been resolved.

Perhaps our human relationships follow the same reality.

We can spend a great deal of time telling ourselves:

“When everything is settled, then…”

Then I will begin.
Then I will build.
Then I will make time.
Then I will live.
Then I will love.

But life never issues a certificate confirming that all the conditions are finally right.

That is the idea at the heart of my latest reflection:

This is not about claiming that love solves every difficulty.

It is about asking a different question:

Must we find every solution before we begin building together, or do some solutions emerge precisely when we stop trying to face everything alone?

This question reaches far beyond romantic relationships.

It is about trust.
Cooperation.
Commitment.
Solidarity.

And ultimately, our ability to move from:

“I have to solve everything”

to:

“What can we build together?”

Because behind organisations, technologies, strategies and projects, one fundamental reality always remains:

the human being.

From the photograph-as-memory to the generative image: our relationship with memory is changing.

In this new article, I explore a question that links my work as an author and my activity around AI: what do we do with what we have lived once time begins to erase it?

Photography preserves. Writing transforms. And generative AI introduces something new — the ability to compose a believable scene that never took place.

With a rule I apply image after image: real people, real places, AI creation. Transparency isn't a constraint, it's a method.
